Grandpa Bunny
Grandpa Bunny is a beautifully illustrated little story about Easter and color and teamwork. More important, is its gentle examination of a important topic that is very difficult to address in children's literature: the aging and ultimate death of a loved one. It is a unique, important book for a child. I still have the remnants of my 1951 edition, and in the pre-eBay years sought out and purchased a 1951 edition (expensive!) for my daughter. The 2007 reprint, although not quite the technical quality of the 1951, makes it affordable for any child's library. I highly recommend Grandpa Bunny and I give it as gifts.
