Classic Disney Television; Weak creativity on DVD set

While the episodes are a fun return to American youth in the 1950's, this DVD boxed set falls particularly flat.
The special features on this "boxed set" are minimal. The high price point for a 50 year-old series should have allowed for a bigger production budget and a few added "bonus" features.
True, it's fun to watch the original episodes again, but we have to admit that something is lost when this entire program is available in a single viewing (kind of like eating too much chocolate cake at one time). The anticipation of the next episode was part of the charm of this episodic series. The episodes were so short (on the original Mickey Mouse Club tv series) that we never seemed to get enough of them.
As good as it was... today's viewer will get their fill before this one's done playing.
