I'm a 5th grade teacher. Every year I read the story of "Ben & Me" to my class. It's a great historical fiction example for my students, and they love it. I just added the video to my collection this year, and my class got to watch the movie at the end of the year. They absolutely enjoyed it. To be honest, I even enjoyed it :) It's a great way to learn a little history in a fun way!

Ben and Me (VHS)When I was a kid I loved Ben and Me. I like the historical story about Ben Franklin and bought the VHS to bring back the memories of my childhood. I first saw it with my mom and brother on TV (Every Sunday night we watched Walt Disney). I dislike that you can only get this film in VHS. I would love to own it in DVD!
It is a great film for all age groups, especially those under 13.

This is a great little movie. The movie is told by the mouse and how he helped Ben. This is a movie the hole family can enjoy.

It's a good movie. I am a high school history teacher. While my kindergarten and elementary age nephews like the movie, my high school kids enjoyed the break from the regular "age-appropriate" educational videos they find not so entertaining. It's a great way to sneak some history into any age group!!

) This is a movie that was shown during my elementary school days. Recently, while reading the book to my children, all the movie memories began coming to me. I thought it would be nice for my kids to see a movie from my childhood.
They enjoyed it and it was nice to take a walk down memory lane.
One thing I will point out. Although my children enjoyed the movie (and I enjoyed the memories it held), they were a little disappointed that the movie and book did not compare too much.
