I love this movie. Such a great era. I love the whole innocence of the movie and then the excitement of all of the big changes that are happening in the world. The romance between Pearl and the "blouse man" is sooooooo HOT! Oh my! I also LOVE the music in this movie, they put it together perfectly, songs of the sixties were so passionate, so full of meaning and the songs go perfectly with the movie. Liev Schreiber also plays a great role in this flick, he is so cute. I would consider this as a chick flick, great to watch with you Best friend.

I saw this movie and TV and knew I needed to own the CD. I looked high and low and was thrilled it was posted on E-Bay. I bid on this item, won this item and received it in a timely manner. I couldn't wait to watch this CD and have watched it over and over.

Whenever A Walk on the Moon was going to air on cable, I would set the reminder. I get an emotional kick out of this film with the double-entendre title for three reasons: 1)Viggo Mortensen plays a romantic (OK, lusty) leading man; 2)Diane Lane is doing her unfaithful best five years before her Academy Award-winning turn in Unfaithful; and 3)I get to experience, albeit vicariously, a smidgeon of the goings-on at summertime resorts in the Catskills. Let me work backward. ... As a young girl living on the East Coast in the '70s, I recall my cousins' families and mine driving upstate New York to Sullivan County, where an aunt and uncle had a great big country house straight out of The Waltons. With sunny songs such as "Love Will Keep Us Together" and "Philadelphia Freedom" playing on the radio during those road trips, life felt like it could not get better. As we approached the Catskills, I recall the colorful billboards announcing the different summer resorts. Once I got up the nerve to ask the adults in the car why we never went to any of those resorts and was told that we would not be accepted there. So as I got older, I always fantasized that the Catskills resorts had to be boat loads of fun to be so exclusive and all. Dirty Dancing, while fictional, definitely gave me a glimpse into the exciting lifestyle behind those wonderful billboards. I can say this because I once worked with a woman who was raised in the '50s and who told me that many of the scenes in Dirty Dancing reminded her of long-ago experiences at various Catskills summer resorts. All of this to say that when watching A Walk on the Moon, I feel like an outsider looking into a life I never was privileged to live. ... Diane Lane is a force to be reckoned with when portraying characters with dysfunctional marriages. A Walk on the Moon predated Unfaithful by five years, so we viewers get a chance to see how Lane has perfected acting out the visceral female erotic response that, perhaps, many women envy. That pivotal scene in the van in which she and the Blouse Man seem totally oblivious to a major milestone in world history is no less intense than the scene in Unfaithful when she is on the train reminiscing about quivering beneath (hunka-hunka-burnin'-love luscious) Olivier Martinez hours earlier. Watching her squirming in her seat on that train, as she alternates between bliss and angst, I felt as if I had had the affair! She knows how to embody a free spirit, whether in Unfaithful (double-crossing Richard Gere as her attorney husband, who ironically stakes his career on loyalty), Under the Tuscan Sun (American divorcee meets Fellini's La Dolce Vita), or here, in A Walk on the Moon. ... Lastly, regarding the No. 1 reason I love A Walk on the Moon: Viggo Mortensen. His gaze alone is intense. He possesses a certain je ne sais quoi, an erotically hypnotic, intangible quality that actors such as Clark Gable, Marlon Brando and Steve McQueen translated very well. Serving as brilliant contemporary examples would be Robert DeNiro, Idris Elba, Clive Owen and Daniel Sunjata. Female actors also have that seductive quality: Kathleen Turner and Faye Dunaway as past examples -- by no means an exhaustive list -- and Jessica Lange, Angelina Jolie and Vivica Fox as current examples.

So, why not add A Walk on the Moon to your DVD collection. It is guaranteed to be a blast.

This is a movie which takes place in the late 1960's. Diane Lane plays a restless housewife who is bored with her life in general. After having a child very young and getting married she feels she may have missed out on living life to the fullest.
Diane Lane is wonderful, Leiv Schriver gives a great perfomance of the jilted husband.
I watch this movie over and over. I first watched it on Encore and looked for it all the time. I decided to buy the movie so I could watch it whenever I wanted. Couldn't find the movie in any local businesses so I ordered online.

it was fantasic great story plot.my wife been looking for it forever.i've been trying to locate for her for the last two years,reminded bouth of us about that time in ours lives how simple life was back then.

This movie was well worth watching over and over again, particularly for the wonderful 60's music. The acting was real life especially Anna Paquin acting like a real 14 year old in 1969. I recommend this movie.

This is a movie that is well worth one's time. The intimate scenes actually light one's emotions intensely. Two very fine actors, Viggo and Diane, make the movie intense. For those who want to feel what a free spirit is like again would benefit from this movie. It takes you away into the realms of where most people dare not go. Live through these characters and feel young again !!! Well worth adding to one's movie collection.

I saw the movie when i rented it from net flix thought it was a very good movie with alot of meaning.Thought it would be a good movie to add to my collection.

I like any movie with Diane Lane. She is my absolute favorite!!!! Bought because I collect her work. This DVD is of excellent quality!

I looked in many chain stores to find the DVD A Walk On The Moon & Gradiator with no avail, than I became a member of ebay and the search was over. Ebay is a great place to find everything!!!!

I really like Diane Lane movies and this one was an early Lane movie and was so good. If you are as old as I am, this movie is like a picture of my past. Hitch hikers, Woodstock, flower children, tye dye shirts and just all around good fun. One didn't have to worry about locking their doors in this era. Highly recommend purchasing this movie. May be more of a chick flick though.

I like this movie. It was very emotional. Diane Lane struggle to be with her husband or lover(The Salesman)is very touching. I know Diane Lane been typecast in playing these roles before but its still entertaining. I must admit I brought this movie mainly because of Viggo Mortensen is in it. He is supersexy and of course very talented. On that note, if you like erotic,dramatic movies..this is for you.

Great movie to bring you back to the summer of 1969...Diane Lane finds out the cost of infidelity to herself and family. Brings us back to the time of hippies and mans first walk on the moon.

The "A Walk On the Moon" DVD arrived quickly and was in perfect condition and the price was right!
However, the postage was a bit high.

Even though I never received this from the seller (ripped off), I know it is a great movie. It has a musical score that is all Hippy Days and the feeling of the movie will take you back! --should you be so inclined!

Id never heard of this movie but saw a little of it on tv one day. Decided to order it on e-bay...It's a story about Woodstock, with great performances by Diane Lane and Viggo.

This movie has great characters and the actors play their parts very well. It's a wonderful love story about realistic situations. Great romance between Diane and Viggo. Super movie to watch with a bowl of popcorn!

I've become a BIG Viggo Mortensen fan, after I saw Hildago. I rented this movie to see what it was about. It turned out to be a good little movie. Diane Lane plays a dutifully wife does the "when the cats away the mice will play" with her husband during the family vacation. She meets Viggo, who is a blouse man and has a torrid affair. Diane is Ok in this movie, Viggo IS great and so is the music. The movie is a little melodramatic at times, but I liked it, so I bought it.

My 84 year old mother recently saw Viggo Mortensen in "Eastern Promises" and thought he was, in her words, "smoldering" with Naomi Watts. When I suggested she'd like "A Walk On The Moon", she said she couldn't find it. Guess what she's getting for Christmas? (smile)

This is a visual feast for every woman who has always dreamed of making love under a waterfall!

This is one of those movies that keep us women movie slaves. Its romantic, sad and oh so steamy. Liev Shreiber is the very believeable loyal husband , Diane Lane, the needy unfaithful wife and Viggo Mortensen the hunky wife stealer. throw in two confused children, a know it all leaf reading mother in law all on vacation and you get .. a movie made for women . EMJOY!!! I did.
