Wakeboarding Unleashed Featuring Shaun Murray (PlayStation 2, 2003)

Ok, this is one of those games that you have to own for your PS2. It is Tony Hawk on water, really! There are a number of tricks and objectives to do. First, you have different challenges you can try to pull off to open more locations, just like tony hawk. There is free ride, so you can just continue to wakeboard at your leisure. Then, they threw in a co-op mode, where you and a friend play together, one drives the boat and the other boards, or you can play a game of horse, where you have to match each others tricks and scores, or you can just drive the boat around. I really like the game because you can spend alot of time playing it and never get bored, or throw it in for a few minutes while you're waiting for something (pizza delivery, favorite movie to start,etc...) and not have to get too involved in a level or whatever. This game really is one of the funnest games I've ever played, and I would definitely replace it if something ever happened to it.

I bought the game after playing it a couple years ago in a house with 6 roommates. One of them bought the game and next thing you know the PS2 was on 24 hours a day. We couldn't stop playing it. There was ALWAYS somebody playing the game or bragging to friends about the tough level he just beat. Although tricks and locations are VERY unrealistic, they are creative and tons of fun. Who wants realistic games anyways? Quality of game play and objective lists are similar to those of Tony Hawk Pro Skater games. This game is a definite buy, even if you have never previously been interested in wakeboarding.
