Wagon Train (Classic TV Series) (DVD, 2004)

This is the tv series that starred Ward Bond in the late 1950's. There were several changes in the lead characters over the years; John McIntire played the wagon master in these episodes from the early 1960's. The acting is pretty good and the story lines are as well. The series was as realistic as the Gunsmoke series of the same period, and although not quite as long lasting as Gunsmoke, it was just as popular while it was on.
This dvd has three episodes: "Alias Bill Hawks, The Dr.Denker Story, and The Malachai Hobart Story." The audio and video are well preserved and although in black and white are quite good. Certainly suitable for family viewing, if you like westerns then this is a good choice.

So fun to have this! It reminds me of my childhood. I wish there were still series like this on television now.

love to watch the old tv series,i don't like what the movies and tv have to offer today, don't dislike anything about it.i bought it cause i don't like watching the trash on tv

I bought the Wagon Train dvd for my mother because she is a big fan of classic westerns. Wagon Train was one of her favorite shows. This dvd contains three classic episodes from season five and six. The episodes are the doctor denker story, the malachai hobart story, and alias bill hawks. I would recommended this dvd for anyone that fans of classic westerns.

I loved it but haven't watched it yet because it is for a 50TH birthday in September. Trying to buy items from the year 1959 to make him feel older than me.

If you love wagon train the way I did when I was a kid this is the one to get. It really makes you long for yesterday.WAGONS HOOOOOAH!!!!!!!!!!!!
