Even though the Wacos have always leaned closer to the latter half of their country-rock designation, WACOWORLD seems to be the least country of their recordings to date. The roots influences are still there, but they're less overt, allowing the songwriting to stand on its own, devoid of stylistic crutches. It's a progression that opens up a new world of possibilities without any danger of alienating longtime Wacos fans.
The band rocks harder than ever, but much of the writing is more carefully considered, adding a new level of lyrical subtlety. On such tunes as "Red Brick Wall" and "The Hand That Throws the Bottle Down," the Waco Brothers continue to speak for the working man, with a socio-political savvy that rivals the glory days of Strummer and Jones.

Editorial Reviews
...There's a cyber-cowboy on the cover, but this is flesh'n'blood country-western insurgence, full of fear, whiskey and piss'n'vinegar...
