The Royal Rumble in 2001 was a good show, it wasn't great, but it was good.
The show started off with a Tag-Team match for the WWF Tag-Team titles between The Dudleys and Edge and Christian, at the end The Dudleys won and became new tag champs.8/10
The Next match was a ladder match for the intercontinental championship, it was Chris Benoit VS. Chris Jericho. It was a great match, a lot of high risks, very technical if you are a fan of technical grapples. Jericho had Benoit in a walls of Jericho on top of the ladder. Jericho finally climbed the ladder and became the new IC champion.10/10
The next match was the Women's Title match, Ivory VS. Chyna. Chyna had come back from her neck injury too soon and came up short after a move re-injured her neck causing Ivory to retain.7/10
Next was the WWF Championship match, Triple H VS. Kurt Angle. Earlier on a Raw previous to the Rumble Triple H screwed Austin out of the WWF title, so at the end of this match Austin came out and caused the game to lose making Angle retain the WWF Title.6/10
Finally The Royal Rumble Match was at hand, when Austin came out to enter Triple H jumped him from behind and made Steve bleed, by the end of the match Austin staggered to the ring and eliminated Kane thus becoming the #1 contender for the WWF Championship at Wrestle Mania X-SEVEN!9/10
Very good event, over all I would give it a 7/10. A standard event with some highs and some lows, worth wat I had paid.
