This second collection of World Wrestling Federation ring entrance themes continues where the previous album left off. Where the first collection also contained two tracks performed by wrestlers and heavy metal musicians, WWF - THE MUSIC VOL. 2 is strictly WWF superstars. This is a boon to the wrestling fans who might not necessarily like metal. That's not to say the album doesn't rock! Wrestling fans are sure to eat it up.
While the ring entrance themes will be well-known to hard core WWF-ites, they should also appeal to music fans who just want to listen to a fun album. Musically, it holds up as well. The songs are catchy and well-produced (as a sidenote, Jimmy Hart, an ex-member of The Gentrys, is a co-writer on some of the material!). Many of the WWF's most loved (and hated) supertars' themes are presented, such as The Undertaker, Ahmed Johnson, Dude Love, Nation Of Domination and Shawn Michaels. After listening to this record, you may find yourself unexpectedly placing a close friend in a headlock!
