Album Notes Taking the already flashy, rock-based entrance themes of the WWF Superstars and transforming them into rap tunes was not an easy task, but proved to be a successful one on AGGRESSION. The artists rap in first person, yet it comes off very believable as the rappers and wrestling characters have similar personas. D-Generation X theme "The Kings" is an improvement over the original tune, as the more subtle guitar work create a sleeker sound and Run DMC do a take on their "King Of Rock" classic. The Rock theme "Know Your Role" contains a fantastic arrangement and a great rap by Method Man. Snoop Dogg takes a back seat and does the chorus rap as W.C. explodes on Stone Cold Steve Austin theme "Hell Yeah." A synthesizer string arrangement highlights Vince McMahon theme "No Chance." The Big Show theme "Big" is converted from a blues-rock tune to a slick rap number with the help of Producer Binky, who has worked with Ice Cube and Mack 10. AGRESSION will appeal to both wrestling and rap fans.
Editorial Reviews 3 stars out of 5 - Steroid-ridden wrestlers' entrance music goven the hip-hop treatment by Run DMC, Method Man, Snoop, Ice-T et al. The funniest album this year. If you're seven. Melody Maker (06/20/2000)
...Hip-hop versions of the WWF's wrestler theme songs....There are plenty of tracks...that will flip you like a Hardy Boyz swanton bomb. Suplex the candy-ass in your life... CMJ (04/10/2000)
