Movie Description
In the 1980s, professional wrestling made the leap from regional sporting event to mainstream cultural phenomenon thanks to the visionary leadership of World Wrestling Federation chairman, Vince McMahon. Though the McMahon family had been involved in wrestling promotion since the 1930s, it was Vince's 1979 launching of the WWF (later known as the WWE) and its signature Wrestlemania event that vaulted pro wrestling into a golden age marked by some of the greatest stars the sport has ever seen.
