WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2006 (PlayStation 2)

I have played the entire Smackdown series and this is by far the best one of them all. The graphics are sharp and realistic. The Create-a-wrestler, create-a-belt and create-an-entrance continues to improve. The season mode seems a bit short, but you can play it over again to unlock wrestlers, unlock items for your locker or take your wrestler on a different route. At first, the new General Manager mode didn’t sound too fun, but it quickly got addicting and it wasn’t so bad. The best thing about this game is the different type of matches the game has to offer. I think the worst thing about this game is the computer difficulty. Easy is really easy and legend is extremely difficult. After a lot of practice of the moves and reversals, the legend difficulty isn’t so bad, but the matches might still be long. Right now, I think this is the best wrestling game in the Smackdown series.

well i personally don't like video games i bought this game for my son and by the looks of it he loves it and enjoys playing with it i recommend this game to anyone that has 11 or 12 year olds

Smackdown vs. Raw 2006 is not a bad game. It's very good, classy, but the newer ones exceed this one's usefulness.

Awesome game, first WWE video game I purchased, its like being there at an live event / watching it on t.v. Once I started playing, I was hooked. Its been in the console since I got it, which its been like an month or two. Very Realistic, Graphics

Classic - This game has it all over 100 matches i love this game. with all the match types all the wrestlers. i highly recommend it.

My son loved it, it was exactly what he was wanting and the extra games were a bonus. I dont quite understand why this has to be so many characters but oh well have a nice day.

The classics legends I'm talking about is Jake "Snake" Roberts, Andre The Giant, 3 versions of "Hulk" Hogan and others. The few downsides are HHH is still the bad guy, John Cena doesn't have his up to date theme, Batista still has his earrings on, etc.

WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2006 is arguably the last great SmackDown game in the series. It had big boots to fill following in the footsteps of its predecessors of Here Comes the Pain and Shut Your Mouth, but it proves that it is up to the challenge. There a lot of professional reviews of this game out there, so I will leave a lot of the talking up to them, but I do want to touch on a mode that was added to 2006's gameplay- GM Mode. In GM Mode, the player takes on the role of either the SmackDown or Raw shows General Manager. This was unique to the series upon the games release, and it added a whole other dimension to the game completely. You, as the GM, draft your show, book matches, deal with contracts, and, in general, tend to the needs and desires of your rabid fan base. Die hard wrestling fans (read "wrestling dorks", such as myself) may have heard of TNM 7, which is a wrestling simulator based completely on becoming God of a promotion- booking, signing, writing, firing, etc.- and this is as close to that as you're going to get in the mainstream WWE field. Even if you only want to try out the GM Mode, WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2006 is definitely worth a pick-up. Excellent game!

Good wrestling game. I like it better than their newer releases. A lot easier to navigate and get where you want to go.

This is a wonderful game. Me and my son love wwe and video games. We had the game but it came up missing. I can not wait to play it.

My son loves the game but,there was no booklet to come with it so it took my son a few time to figure out how to play.Other than that,everything is fine.

The games were everything I expected. They were all in good conditions and were very fun. They worked for Playstation 2 and I think are compatible with Playstation 3

My son hasn't quit playing i guess its a great game. He has had the game for a week and have only seen him for meals

The create a superstar has gotten better but there are glitches in the game. Storyline wise it is kinda repetitive. Not much growth and some of the match types have been removed but graphics have improved alot.

Great Game! Family Fun for All!

I play this game with a group of friends and their kids. My husband and I now buying the game so we can have it at home also. I love making Divas and everyone seems to have a great time making their characters as well. It is also fun to fight and do the matches.

I wish the game had more options for the intros but over all it is fun to work with.
