WWE - Hulk Hogan: The Ultimate Anthology (DVD, 2006)

Throughout the 80's, 90's, and even today one force was very powerful in the world of sports entertainment. That force is Hulkamania. Recently, WWE released a 3-disc set chronicling Hulk Hogan's best matches. If you bought the set at a Walmart, you recieved an exclusive 4-disc set and that's the one I purchased. I watched the DVD set and really enjoyed it. I thought they did a really good job on the great matches they chose, but they could have chosen a few more matches that played an important part in the Hulkster's career. They supplied us with his Wrestlemania 3 Showdown with Andre and even his Wrestlemania 18 Showdown with The Rock, but some important matches are missing. What about his Showdown at Shea match with Andre the Giant in 1980 or more of his WCW matches. I think they should release another edition with some of the matches they missed on this one.
The main focus of this DVD set were the matches. It wasn't much of a biography, but every couple matches a couple wrestlers would say something. There were more great matches put on this DVD set.
They have the 1st Wrestlemania, an AWA Showdown with Nick Bockwinkel, Wrestlemanias 2,5,and 6, his WWE Tag Team Title win with Edge, and they added his XWF match against Curt Hennig which was a nice addition among other important matches in his career. There are many excellent matches in this DVD set and even if you're not the Ultimate Hulkamaniac, I highly suggest it.

This is a collection of Hlk Hogan's best matches, spanning his entire career from AWA, WCW, XWF & WWE.
All of the matches are great, all of his epic matches are included as well as his best feuds. There is actually
a Wal-mart exclusive version with a bonus 4th disc, and I will include that in the review also. I cannot review all
of the matches, there's just not enough space, but I will list them all. All matches from the Wal-mart exclusive

I liked it had all the matches onit, but didn't like it didn't include the life story that Hogan's previous DVD had. I bet it is so you will buy the both of them.

I thought it was a great dvd. the matches were the best. I would of loved it more if it were more like of a Hulk Hogan story instead of just matches. I bought it as agift for my brother who is a huge Hogan fan.

I grew up watching Hulk Hogan in the WWE, WCW, and then back in the WWE, he is my idol in wrestling. Hulk Hogan is an icon.

If you love Hulk this is the DVD for you. Hulk vs Macho Man Randy Savage. Hogan vs. Andre, as well as Hogan vs. Warrior, the Formation of the NWO, Hogan vs. the Rock, and much more!

If you want a compilation of Hogan's best this is the set for you. If there is a downside: The disc really doesn't go into much depth on some of the matches, also they removed Hogan's Jimi Hendrix and replaced it. But overall a great set for anyone who loves Hogan.

It has ever great match of his Career, from WWF to WCW back to WWE. There was limited comentary it is all about the matches. Make sure you get a Walmart version it as an extra disc. Hulk is the man and will always be.

I bought this for my brother for Christmas and it came within a week. I didn't have any problems. I was little disappointed that the plastic wrap wasn't on the dvd set.

I bought it for my nephew and greatnephews. An they enjoyed it very much. I haven't heard them say anything bad about it.
Ebay was the only place I could find it and I look at other sites.
The DVD is just what they wanted and they are very happy with it.

I love everything about it because i have been a Hulk Hogan Fan since i was 3 or 4 years old. I used to watch matches of him with my grandfather( died in 1995) when i was a kid and it was nice to watch the DVD and get reminded of those happy memories.

Hulk Hogan is the most well-known WWE Superstar there ever was and ever will be! So, this Anthology documents his best matches in WWE history. Definitely a must for the Hulk Hogan fan, yet I believe even the casual fan will thoroughly enjoy this set. This was evident when my two children (ages 6 & 12) were very interested in watching Hulk Hogan wrestle. They had really only known Hulk as a TV Star from Hogan Knows Best. They enjoyed watching and in the process learned a little bit about the history of the WWE and Hulk Hogan! If you do purchase, make sure you get the set with 4 discs (not 3) as the bonus disc has six more matches!

No other other name in the wrestling industry says wrestling like the name Hulk Hogan does. And no other wrestler can pack them in the house and draw the heat from the fans as only Hulk Hogan did and still does. I had the privilege to see Hulk wrestle at 4 different house shows in my area. I purchased the Walmart 4 disc DVD set. It's a great keepsake for any wrestling fan. This DVD traces his humble beginnings as a child, the rock band that he formed, his rocky start breaking into pro wrestling, his first WWWF appearance and subsequent release by Vince McMahon Sr when Hulk announced he was going to co-star in Rocky III, going to the AWA and how the "Hulkmania" roots were formed while wrestling for that company, his return to the WWF and Vince McMahon Jr. The rest is WWE history. They have some great old footage and matches including an earlier match between Hulk and Andre The Giant (pre Wrestlemania III). His body slam of Andre was far more impressive than it was in WM III. Also featured is his famous "face" to "heel" turn and nWo transformation at WCW. My only complaint is I wished they had included more of his Saturday Night Main Event matches. I also find it odd that they skipped over most of his movies and TV show appearances. I loved the match between nWo "Hollywood" Hulk and The Rock, the fans turn on The Rock midway of their match and cheered for the "heel" Hogan. Legendary stuff. A lot of his matches are not included in this set but it will wet any wrestling fan's appetite. Truely a one-of-a-kind wrestler.

Hulk is the man I bought cause im a huge Hulk Hogan fan, its a claasic DVD with all his classic matches A MUST BUY if you are a fan of HULKAMANIA

I purchased from e-bay because Wal-Mart was out of the DVD. The product arrived fast and in perfect condition and I did not pay anymore for it if I had gotten it at Wal-Mart, in fact, I think it was a little less, including shipping.
