This sounds much too western at first listen.
It's quite sparse. Not very rhythmic.
I was wondering if this is mutated hotel lounge music for tourists
Some cover versions are here, such as 'Mendocino' (60's..Sir Douglas Quartet)
so it's worth a listen,anyway. Not what I expected, but it is growing on me.
