Movie Description Formerly known as the Whitbread Round the World Race, the Volvo Ocean Race is a nine-month-long yachting competition that traverses the globe for a total of 30,000 nautical miles. Travelling southeast from England into the Atlantic, Indian, and Pacific Oceans and back to Europe via South America's Cape Horn, the race is divided into several legs marked by stopovers in various international ports of call. This documentary follows Team SEB as they compete in the 2001-2002 Volvo Ocean Race, recapping each leg of the journey from stopover points in Southampton, England; Cape Town, South Africa; Sydney and Hobart, Australia; Auckland, New Zealand; Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; Miami and Baltimore, U.S.A.; La Rochelle, France; and Goteborg, Sweden.
