Volcano by Jimmy Buffett (CD, Oct-1990, MCA Records USA)

I adore this CD...It's my 3rd copy... I keep wearing them out!

In my opinion..."Volcano" is definitely the Jimmy Buffett album to own. Okay, I admit I'm a fan and have loved his misic for many years. For all you newer Buffett fans, this CD would be a great start to any collection. It offers many great songs, and some of them are old favorites that will bring back fun memories and make you long for the beach!

"Fins", "Volcano", and "Boat Drinks" are all staples of Buffett's, but let's not overlook "Treat her like a lady" and "Survive", and "Sending the old man home". Great tunes all....not one clunker in the bunch.

For the Parakeets there is a lovely little offering..."Chanson Pour les Petits Enfants", which has a very innocent quality to it....("A Song for the little children", English translation) It is one of my very favorites...puts a smile on my face every time I hear it!

Jimmy has a nice soothing and comfortable voice, and this CD is a fairy tale that will entice many children old enough to really appreciate music. It makes you feel like you're "coming home" and yet discovering something brand new at the same time. It makes me feel like I'm visiting with an old friend who has new stories to tell...

This is definitely one that should be part of any Buffett collection!
