Volcano (DVD, 1999)

This is an excellent movie, I just loved it. The storyline, characters, etc. are very well done.

This movie takes place in Los Angeles, where seismic events (earthquakes) are taking place near the La Brea Tar Pits. Eventually these earthquakes lead up to the volcano finally setting off, which leads to more chaos. Mike Roark (Tommy Lee Jones) and a seismologist (Anne Heche) rush to the rescue.

This movie has many different ranges: action, drama, comedy, and suspense all rolled into one.

If you are a fan of geology, action movies, or of Tommy Lee Jones you'll love this movie!

I love action movies and this is it. I had this move before and lost it, and I had to buy it and found it on Ebay

f the creators of this movie had even gone to Jr. High or bothered to open a book once in their life, they would have found out that lava is really HOT and MELTS things. It can NOT flow uphill, or be stopped by a bunch of firemen with highway barriers. In short, this movie is so frigging unrealistic, it would make any science teacher cry.

As a kid, when i first saw this movie, it was increidable how this movie was made. I made it to one of my favorite childhood movies ever. I really recommend this movie to families and friends to watch this. Once you see this movie, you will kn ow how it feel to be surrounded by lava. You need to watch this thrilling movie.

i like this movie in general and when i seen it for a very good price i was going to purchase it. i have seen it so many times and til this day its still good

Volcano is filled with thrills all the way through. Fantastic visual effects. Could easily be a real life experience. A must see for those who enjoy excitement!

I purchased this movie for $6 and some change shipped. new in tha package. When at the store they are still asking at least 10 dollars. will buy again.

I love disaster movies and this one defentaly tops the list. I like the drama of how do you stop something you can't control. I think the ideas were well thought out and its an enjoyable movie for those that like disaster movies.

The DVD is in very good condition as was stated and I am very pleased with this purchase. I will put seller on favorite list.

This movie is Tommy Lee Jones at his best! There is nothing negative I can say about it other than I hate that they kill off Anne Heche's friend!

Lots of action. My vhs movie broke so I purched this movie on DVD.Tommy Lee Jones is a well round actor and can play action movies good. For an older movie would reccomend.

I have enjoyed all the natural disaster movies that I have seen or own. This one is an excellent movie to watch. Some may not like it because of what can happen with nature but it is a spellbinding movie.

This item was in new shape. The person did not say anything wrong about it. This person I would buy from again. Keep having honest people selling and this will be the only place to go.

In the great tradition of disaster movies, Volcano is totally unrealistic and loads of fun. Knocking down an office building to create a damn to stop the lava flow is a nice touch and of course it's wonderful to see the tar pits burbling dangerously in the background, unnoticed by the hapless pedestrians. Tommy Lee Jones is, as always, talented, dignified and lovable. I often put this one together with Atomic Train and Dante's Peak for a daylong neo-disaster flick festival while I work.

I loved Anne Heche's performance. Because Anne was in it is why I bought it. I definitely recommend it.
