Not a technics DVD- Pictures is worth a Thousand words

This DVD does not have camera set-up, nor does it have diagrams and illustrations. It does not attempts to backward engineer the cinematography of the Masters. It has interview of famous Director and Director of Photograpy talking about other Dps and there own inspiration. A DVD about motion films and their creators, not that much how they did what they did.
It is very good at discussing the aesthetics styles, motivations, concepts and inspirations of past Directors of Photography and Directors. This is a great review of Film-making history and learning about the Cinematographers of the Past.
There is very little information about more digital film-maker like Robert Rodriques, Quentin Torentino and etc. Seems to cover films all the way up to when color films completely took over. (like between 1910s thru 1980s)
It taught me how hollywood works, which are envvied by most indie filmmakers like me. I really need an advanced camera and lighting techniques book. I was born will talent to create my own style imagery, so this DVD was fertile to my creative energies, and taught film-making history well.
