While this is a great product and a nice addition to any mobile professional, it is not compatible with Windows Vista and therefore cannot be used by those who work with the most up to date software. But, most big businesses have yet to make the shift, so it is a worthy scanner for Windows XP and below.

I have two of these things. They are super-portable and powered from USB. So there's no AC adapter to worry about.
The software lets you customize your scans...and you can set it up to scan automatically when you stick a sheet of paper in.
Photos, documents, everything works great. We do not fax anymore...we scan and email the resulting PDF documents.
The software is not compatible with Vista...but who cares? Vista isn't compatible with anything.

Visioneer Strobe XP 100 Pass-Through ScannerThis unit is GREAT! I have to make trips often, and the small size, and ease of operation make this scanner a superb buy. You also have a option to save the scanned image as a jpg, so you can upload the image to anyone. This is a winner! A perfect transaction, EBAY, The auction seller and Paypal. Cannot find anything wrong with the scanner.

great little scannercalibration sheet can be made. find a picture online and recreat the best u can on powerpoint. software is good. overall very nice compact scanner.
