Virtua Fighter 5 Online (Xbox 360, 2007)

First of all I had heard of this game back in the Dreamcast days, because of a game called Shenmue which another game made by the same developers of the Virtua fighter series and that is what caught my interest in the game because the fighting ingine in Shenmue 1 & 2 was made from the engine in the virtua fighter games of that time, so when the game was anounced back in 2007 at first i was a bit sceptical because i have been a fan of the Dead or alive fighting games since the dreamcast but since the game was coming out on Xbox 360 i decided to try the Demo sega brought to the market place over in Xbox Live the following year, and well after testing our the demo for some time with a regular Microsoft xbox 360 Controller and an Arcade stick controller i really fell in love with the very precise way you had execute your moves in the game, to be fair this games has no story mode or any background scenes or story line for any of the characters that i know of, to put it simple this is a straight port from the arcade version of virtua fighter 5 that came out in the Arcade machines of Japan but an added plus that this has online multiplayer capabilities which is very fluid and awesome depending if your apponents connection is decent to play against. bottom line is that if your looking for a game to master and get really into it and study every moves so you can pull out some crazy juggles and chain of combos then go for it buy it its worth a the price your getting it for But if your looking for a good story with some cool Cutscenes then you should pass on this game i say go with Dead or alive 4 if you dont have it yet :) well thanks for your time and reading this leghty review take care ;)

The game has an excellent group of fighters to choose from. They each have their own unique style of fighting. The only problems that I see with this game is the fact that the combos are hard to get and their arent that many characters to choose from. Other than those problems, this is the perfect game for anyone who loves fighting games.

I've been looking for a good fighting game and this is the one i decided on. I remember playing this at the arcade all the time. It is quite challenging, and the graphics are awesome. There are some new characters which i like and new moves. The fighting styles are more complex with certain characters and take some time to get used to. On the flip side, there are also plenty of regular ass characters who do all the normal stuff. I've been neglecting all of my other games for the past week or so, so that's a good sign for the game. BUY IT!

Once again the Virtua Fighter series does a great job. They've tweaked the movements so that combo sequences aren't as difficult, but they managed to keep the engine from being button masher friendly. The graphics are quite beautiful. When you play certain stages you could be very tempted to stare into the distance at the remarkable scenery. If you're a Virtua Fighter fan this is a must buy. If you're a fighting game fan that likes a challenge, then I'd recommend you check it out. If you're a casual gamer that enjoys fighting games, then I'd say to rent it first to try it out.

i am an xbox fan. i will love playing this game and added to my collection. great deal on it. cant wait to play it.

I bought a new copy of Virtua Fighter 3. I don't believe that I wold pay more than $30 absolute maximum for this game. I got a hold of it for $20, and will never regret that. For the price I paid, I love it. I decided to buy it because I had played the precious versions of this game and wanted to see the continuation of the franchise.

Amazing graphics, wonderful cast of characters, fun game play that gets addicting, and more of an arcade based game instead of story based. Fun game that can be entertaining for an hour or so. It's a fun game to play now and then when bored, always good to have as the something to kill time type game.

personally this is not my tpye of game. does not compare to teken or street fighter. it is some what slow paced

Having been a fan of the Virtua Fighter franchise from a young age, I was obviously excited about the release of the newest installment in the series. I own it both for Playstation 3 and XBox 360, and although it is perfectly playable on either system, I prefer to play on the PS3 because the controller's D-pad is more precise, which comes in handy when I need to execute specific moves with expert timing.

I don't recommend this game to everyone: it's very technical and it takes hours of practice to be able to play it well. It is not the sort of game you would pull out at parties for everyone to play. If, however, you want a real fighting game challenge, then find a friend to practice with or employ the online vs. feature, and buckle down for a deep fighting game experience!

Good condition and a blast to play. this game has good graphics, slick interface, and tight controls. Highly recommend it to anyone wanting to try out a good fighting game.

the game is awesome and for the price its even more great the local game stop wanted 24.99 for the used version of this classic this seller sent the game out and it works perfectly..

One of the few fighters available on Xbox 360 and it was recommended to me by some friends. Very fun game and very challenging to become a good player.

VF5 is the best thing going in 3D fighters right now. The graphics are amazing, each fighter has a plethora of moves, great level design and customizable costumes, and I can't forget about it's online capability. Also the replay value is immense. Like VF4 Evolution, VF5 has a quest mode where your character advances through the ranks of kyu, dan, and others to become the ultimate fighter, all the while, unlocking customizable content. The only drawback I can find with this game is the lack of a story mode. You're basic choices are Arcade, VS, & Quest. However, it's a great game overall.

Being a fan of the Fighting genre i enjoyed playing this game. If you're a fan of the fighting games then definately add this to your collection.

Lots of options and customization features are what you'll find in this excellent translation of arcade to home port. You'll enjoy the Arcade mode and also like the various features that allow you to customize each fighter's clothing and also the statistical tracking of fights with each fighter.

If you are a fan of the VF series, you'll enjoy this game. However, an arcade stick is highly recommend in order to get full control of your fighter. The control pad just doesn't cut it in the button mashing sequences to pull off some of the more complex moves.

I think the game could be a little better. I feel like if you could fight to win characters it would make the game more interesting. I like the idea of winning to get new clothes but you should have to work up to get more people.

Love the new graphics, like the new moves, still getting use to them all. Such a simple way to play but with lots of variety to make it fast and fun to play. Who would have thought a 3 button game would go this far. Now I just have to get my gaming style back for online play and take the action online. For years before online gaming I wanted to be able to play games like this from the comforts of home because when it got late you could just sign off and go to sleep, no driving home sleep and feeling beat up for real. Keep'em coming

This game is fun don't get me wrong but it was not created for the xbox360 standard controller. So it will frustrate you on numerous occasions if you don't want to spend the extra cash on the 'fighting stick EX2' controller. The moves of the fighters are almost impossible to do using just regular controllers. I love the game; I wish they didn't make some of the button combinations so infuriating. If you own the ex2 already cause you are a fan then you don't need this review. Newbies should not worry, there are numerous games that can benefit from using the ex2 controller. It is not a waste of money.

I love the grafics i Think yhey are almost like real persons when I played the game I loved it and searched it on Ebay the next day . I found it and it was very cheap also it coasted only 20 so i bought it and i am very excited for that
