A great guide for barkcloth newbies!--and others :)

I bought this book because I love fabric and have recently discovered these oldies with all their charm. I have also run into some stinkers in my on-line auction purchases that turned out to be rather disappointing--lost nearly all the color or were not truly barkcloth. Beware the wordings of "retro"(may be new reproduction fabric), "barkcloth era" (may be duck, canvas or something someone imagines was from the true barkcloth time period and "vintage-like" (may have some quality similar but is thinner or more shiny perhaps but has a fancy pattern) This book has clear, colorful pictures, good information regarding what to look for as far as most valuable, etc. Includes value ranges, which of course with on-line auctions a lot depends on who is looking for what on which day. I haven't finished it yet but I already found out the fabric used to make a bedspread I purchased for $7 give-or-take is worth 50-75 dollars a yard! It identifies quite a few patterns. I am totally enjoying this book.
