As a folk artist, I often look to antique pieces for inspiration for new designs. I can't afford to buy all of the antique pieces that I would love to be surrounded with, so books like this are, for me, the next best thing!
Vintage Halloween Collectibles provides more than 700 full-color photos of actual vintage and antique Halloween memorabilia, along with prices for each item in the condition shown.
A few years ago, I had the pleasure of being invited to the author's home to view his very extensive Halloween collection. Truly, it was enough to make my head spin! Mark explained such things as how to date old Halloween items (the scarier, "darker" pieces tend to be older).
If you are a fan of vintage Halloween decorations, or an artist working with Halloween themes, you need this book!
UPDATE: The author tells me that a fully revised and greatly expanded edition of this book will be available in July 2007.
