this is an interesting cd,a strong fusion offering,but somewhat complacent,guitarist,allan holdsworth appears on this set,and dominates with emphatically pronounced guitar lines,there is great playing from drummer,chad wackerman,but it's not as strong as it should be.a fine cd,nonetheless.

) Its funny...This is supposed to be a Chad Wackerman CD, and yet; anything Allan Holdsworth plays on instantly becomes an Allan Holdsworth CD. His sound is simply too identifiable. Wackerman is credited as having "written" almost everything here, and yet it really suffers, I think, from the fusion-esque "music without melody" syndrome. The CD "Legs Eleven" is more tuneful and has more interesting instrumentation.
As talented as he is (and a nice drum sound, too) I think writer/drummer Simon Phillips will do a better job leaving you humming a tune and feeling some honest to goodness PASSION.
