Movie Description Video games have become much more complicated since the days of Pong, PacMan, Atari, and Nintendo. While games like the original Tetris and Super Mario Brothers were quite advanced for their time, their graphics are quaint and rather comical in the face of the intense visual standards set by games like Final Fantasy and Grand Theft Auto. THE VIDEO GAME: PAST, PRESENT, AND FUTURE looks at how the gaming industry evolved since its beginning, and at where video games are headed for the future. Not limited to the U.S., this program also examines the huge video game industries in Japan and France. Topics explored include how games are developed and marketed, and the role that the film and internet industries play (and will continue to play) in the video game world.
