Victory over the Darkness by Dr. Neil Anderson (1990, Paperback)

The purchase behind the book titled "Victory Over the Darkness" was simple. My husband had borrowed it from someone and loved it so much, we decided to get our own copy. This book is excellent. It teaches you the victory and power we have in the name of Jesus Christ. There are many churches that fail to preach and teach about darkness. They teach a prosperity gospel. They teach your life should be all peaches and cream instantly when you ask Christ into your life. They teach that you should have no sin at all in your life. They teach that if you have problems, it's all your fault. The bottom line is this: Satan is real and he will do whatever it takes to stop you at the cross. That is even though you have received Christ into your heart as your Lord and Savior, he will make your life miserable here on earth. He will hold you in bondage, with baggage, with generational curses, he will keep you down. He will try to keep you from being the light that you truely are in Christ. This book explains such things and helps you to rise above the darkness that lies in your life. It speaks the truth and destroys the evil that satan speaks into your life. Along with a Bible based church, this book is an excellent tool for yourself and others you may come in contact with that may be in bondage.

As we that are born again believers in Jesus Christ, having a personal relationship with Him, will always be under attack from satan & his like. I wanted more info on how to fight this battle as we live in this world, the next world for the born again believer has none of the battle of today. Until then we need to keep our armor up ready to do battle against the enemy(satan), not people.
Chapters 8-12 are very good, the rest of the book I do not endorse.

This book covers a lot of basic theology in a very easy to understand, matter of fact way. It really helps define the Christian identity and how we change the moment we become Christians. I found it enlightening and lifechanging. It also gives practical steps for dealing with past hurts, difficulties, etc.

Very good. This book touches alot of the questions that christians are constantly asking about there acceptance in Christ. Lots of churches are using this as a study guide. It is a wonderful study of who we are with God. Just simply amazing.
