The Victoria's Secret Catalog Never Stops Coming

In her introduction, Jennie Nash (the author) writes, "Stories help. Stories heal. Your story might be the very thing that saves someone's life or helps them get through the night". Indeed they do. This story of breast cancer survivor and real life auther Jennie Nash was not only heartwarming but educational.
I bought this book for a close friend of mine who is battling breast cancer in both breasts. When she first discovered her cancer, she chose to tell everyone. Many of my co-workers were amazed at her courage and secretly whispered they would have "kept it to themselves". This book gives meaning as to why getting your message out there can help others.
Funny at times, very sad at others but more importantly, she gives us a informative and personal glimpse into the procedures she experienced. She was 36 when she was diagnosed. After her masectomy, she found a doctor who specialized in TRAM flap breast reconstruction. Google it. I was amazed at the scientific advancements in reconstruction and she describes her personal story in depth. She also expands her story to include other cancer patients she met along her journey.
I loved this book. At 153 pages, it was a fast, easy read. I highly recommend it.
