Victor Vito by Laurie Berkner (CD, Oct-2004, Two Tomatoes Records)

Ok, so I am 33 years old or should I say young...and I just LOVE Victor Vito! I have the darn song memorized! In fact, my husband does too! I even played it for our grown-up friends (who looked at us like we were out of our mind). It really is a silly song but then again, aren't all children's songs silly? Laurie sings with kids singing the backup.
The slow part of the song goes like this;

I first fell in love with Laurie Berkner's music on 'Noggin' and my 17 month old son seemed to like it too so I bought this CD and also her Buzz, Buzz cd. I only knew this one song (Victor Vito) when I bought the darn thing but I have to tell you, the bottle cap song (about collecting bottle caps, shells, string, and other weird stuff kids tend to collect) and even the a cappella, Moon, Moon, Moon song are both growing on me. In addition, each song is different. It isn't the same music twice. The lyrics are all easy to understand and sing along to. Plus, they are written on the inside cover! I did get a deal on buying both of her cd's at Amazon.com so I didn't pay the hefty $17 price tag for each of them but I probably would have paid a little more than the $20 I paid for both together. They are great to play in the car and you don't have to sing along to a puppet voice.

My son is now 25 mos. old and while we don't watch 'Noggin or listen to this CD much anymore it is still among his favorites. He just loves to dance around and smiles whenever I play it for him.

By the way, "The Googleheads" is a REALLY cute song too... stupid, silly, but you'll be singing... "I'm a googlehead too".
