Ok, so I am 33 years old or should I say young...and I just LOVE Victor Vito! I have the darn song memorized! In fact, my husband does too! I even played it for our grown-up friends (who looked at us like we were out of our mind). It really is a silly song but then again, aren't all children's songs silly? Laurie sings with kids singing the backup.
The slow part of the song goes like this;
Victor Veto and Freddie Vasco

they never eat fast, no
they ate their rice (clap, clap)
they ate their beans (clap, clap)
they ate their rutabagas and they ate their collard greens

I first fell in love with Laurie Berkner's music on 'Noggin' and my 17 month old son seemed to like it too so I bought this CD and also her Buzz, Buzz cd. I only knew this one song (Victor Vito) when I bought the darn thing but I have to tell you, the bottle cap song (about collecting bottle caps, shells, string, and other weird stuff kids tend to collect) and even the a cappella, Moon, Moon, Moon song are both growing on me. In addition, each song is different. It isn't the same music twice. The lyrics are all easy to understand and sing along to. Plus, they are written on the inside cover! I did get a deal on buying both of her cd's at Amazon.com so I didn't pay the hefty $17 price tag for each of them but I probably would have paid a little more than the $20 I paid for both together. They are great to play in the car and you don't have to sing along to a puppet voice.

My son is now 25 mos. old and while we don't watch 'Noggin or listen to this CD much anymore it is still among his favorites. He just loves to dance around and smiles whenever I play it for him.
By the way, "The Googleheads" is a REALLY cute song too... stupid, silly, but you'll be singing... "I'm a googlehead too".

These songs are fun and catchy--kids love to sing them. I think the best part is that they help kids learn to speak sounds. For example--spaghetti is a hard word for most kids to say properly--and there's a song that repeats thje word. Kids learn to articulate through music. How beautiful and fun. You don't have to keep working on words as much with kids--they start to feel bad about themselves--this way you can sing the words properly together and have an enjoyable experience. Laurie became known on Noggin and her music is so creative--people of all ages have a great time listening.

We love Laurie Berkner. The kids love to sing and dance to her music, and the adults value the positive messages and the fact that it's not treacly sweet insipid usual-kids-music type music. Laurie rocks!

Great CD for all ages
) I have used Laurie Berkner in my K5 classroom.. On Victor Vito I recommend the song "The Story of My Feelings" It is a great song and the children really love singing it. She has also came out with a book to go along with the song.
This is such a great CD because it is appriopiate for all age levels and she doesn't sing with a childrens voice. I love this cd and all her other cds!

Victor Vito - Berkner, Laurie CDWe love this CD! I bought it for my grandchildren ages 3 and 7 and we play it in the car and at home. It's such a fun CD they can't help but get up and dance and sing along EVERY song. It's a long CD so it gives them plenty of exercise and fun listening too. Our favorite is Swimming Swimming where the fish forget they aren't fish and do human things, then they say 'Wait a Minute, We're Fish!' Wait a minute has become one of our new 'lines' when we do something silly. It's a fun CD for sure!

) You know how some children music CDs are just SO annoying? When all the songs sound the same, and the chorus of screaming kids in the CD seems to take over anything else in your home?

AWESOME CD,, my kids love dancing to it... Laurie Berkner is great for the kids and I don't mind listening to it either. In fact I find myself singing her songs when I am without the kids. Our favorites include Victor-Vito, moon moon moon - BOOTS (which is great for dancing) I'm not perfect ,,, oh the list could go on!

What a cute Cd. I leave it in the car so my daughter(19 months) has something fun to listen to. What a good job she has done with this cute sing along Cd. (Not annoying for the parents to listen to either!!!)

Got ripped off!When I purchased this CD, the seller had 100% positive feedback. When I hadn't received the item after some time I tried contacting the seller but never received any response. Now when I check his feedback there are over 20 other customers that had the same issue...never got their item and never got any response from the seller. So basically I'm out the money I sent the seller and this has made me very skeptical on using Ebay again to purchase any items.

I bought this cd in preparation for the concert. I'm glad we did, a good majority of the songs were sung at the concert. She has that folky sound that makes her music appealing to kids and to adults. Her songs are catchy and fun to sing without being extremely immature. NO BARNEY OR DISNEY here!!!

I am torn between good and average. We have Buzz Buzz and We are the LBB and love them. Those were upbeat and fun in the Laurie Berkner zanny way. Victor Vito has a few fun songs but generally a slightly down beat to the others.

She's such a great children's artist!The only reason I rated it a "good" instead of "excellent" is because I think her cd "Buzz Buzz" is even better. Still, catchy songs that I sing along with in the car with the kids, lots of songs on the cd (feel like I get my money's worth) and includes songs that appeal to boys and girls. Glad I bought it!

Great for kids; pretty good for adults, too.My daughter at only 6 months old fell in love with music. Through Noggin, she discovered Laurie Berkner. She would pretty much ignore the TV until a song she recognized came on, so I went looking for a CD with some of her favorites, including "Boots" and "Googlehead." She has also come to enjoy some of the other, including "Victor Vito." I would highly recommend this CD for any child, but, he careful, you'll find yourself humming and singing the songs, too.

Our family loves this CD. We listen to it all the time. It is fun and has a variety of musical beats unlike some other children CD that all seem to have the same beat with different words.

Victor VitoAwesome CD for listening in the car or at home. My kids (3 and 5) are huge Laurie Berkner fans..........they dance for hours and the songs are fun! DH and I can listen and not go crazy like some of those kids tapes make you!
