The Very Best of Otis Redding by Otis Redding (CD, Dec-1992, Rhino Records USA)

I'm a senior lady and remember quite well the day Otis and his band went down in his plane in 1966.
I have all his music in cassettes and am starting to replace them all with cds.

This is a good overview of a great but short career! I saw Otis in concert one time and he was great! I would recommend this collection for those wanting a good look at his most popular songs. There are probably more complete compilations and releases of his albums but this is certainly a good one to have.

Great Cd for fans of 60's R&B/Soul. Fantastic CD for those who want a good love song, followed by a great R&B song to dance to! Just pick it up. You will not be dissapointed.

I love this CD! I bought it for my Mom for Mother's Day. I thought it would be good because there were a few songs I new on it. After listening to the whole thing, I love it! I listen to it over and over..probably more than she does. There are only a couple of songs on it that I'm not a big fan of, but they are still okay. I really enjoy the whole thing. I just love the sound of it. He has a unique sound.

Love the artist and the voice of Otis Redding - Been a fan a long time!!! This CD is awesome if you love the Soul Sound of Otis!!! Seal came out with a great Soul CD and I have that CD and love it to but nobody can hold a candle to Otis Redding singing "I've Been Lovin You To Long" so I decided to come to ebay and look for Otis - But also check out the Seal Soul CD it is awesome to!!!!

I've had R&B classic music all through my life. I had this music on an album and my young daughter ruined it by pushing it along on the floor. Thus, I loved having this music in my collection once again, and in my iPod. James Reza

This CD was great. Loved all the songs great artist and excellent sound quality. I would highly recommend this CD to everyone.

I liked the collection of songs, and Otis really knows how to melt a girl with some of his smoother songs, such as "These arms of mine" and "I've been loving you too long".

This is what great music sounds like. There's nothing pretty or light about his voice. It's all power, guts, & soul. Don't get me wrong... The man lays down a few slow grooves, but most of these songs will have you tappin your foot and clapping your hands!! You will fully enjoy this mans music. I garuntee it!!

This is pure classic Black American R&B; trans rock, great stuff, the grand old days. This man is god. Wonderful listening, makes you dance and sing, smile and get FUNKY.

Otis Redding is an original Soul Brother. You feel his music through your bones. I own most of the 45's on this CD. I can play the CD at work and in the car.

With the purchase of this vintage Otis Redding CD, I was quite pleased with the sound, quality and selections, however, it was used. The delivery time was quick and the price was within reason.
