Widely considered the best polka band in America, Eddie Blazonczyk's Versatones have carried on the legacy of Eddie Blazonczyk Sr. with the polka master's son up front. Staying true to his family's Chicago Polish-American roots, Eddie Jr. sings in both Polish and English, guiding the listener over the jaunty rhythms and lively melodies of VERSALICIOUS! The primary instruments here are concertina, accordion, and trumpet, and this trio effectively energizes tunes such as "Jessico," "The Last Thing on My Mind," and "The General's Son." The album also includes two bar-ready sing-alongs penned by Eddie Jr.--"Hey Bartender" and "Beer Pockets"--rounding out a fun polka outing.
