Underappreciated pioneers of the Gothenburg sound
Eucharist's album, A Velvet Creation, roots it's self firmly along side bands like At the Gates as pioneers of the "gothenburg sound" which bands like In Flames later popularized commercially. Dual guitars tremello pick melodies which both counterpoint and harmonize and lead into progressive streams of music which for the most part flow beautifully. While not as ground breaking as At the Gates second album, The Red in the Sky is Ours, it is never the less well worth checking out as it's influence was undoubtedly felt by bands in the surrounding area.
