VeggieTales - Gideon: Tuba Warrior (DVD, 2007)

We loved this movie! We read the book by George Muller and it was great to see him put in the movie. He was truely a great God loving man and lived his life by total faith and I was so happy to see that. I also loved the story about Gideon and it was very enjoyable to watch. I really love watching with my girls and I would say buy it to anyone that would ask.

My daughter is only 2, and this one didn't keep her attention for the entire length of the movie...but I loved it! I'm a big dork though. I have had a collection of Veggie Tales videos since I was in college. :-)

Seriously though, I didn't quite get the silly song this time (and usually those are my favorite part. "Oh where is my hairbrush" was sheer genious.) Since Gideon is in a marching band, the music was great! If you like drum lines you will love the music in this one.

So all in all, not my favorite Veggie Tales video, but still a great message about trusting God in all circumstances. I think our kids will need to hear that message more and more in this day and age.

As we venture into the life of 'Gideon: Tuba Warrior' there are some wonderful truths revealed about our trust in the Lord and the challenges that he provides for us! As usual, there are a few "Adult" moments that has us "BIG kids" rolling on the floor and the little ones looking at us with confusion clearly in their eyes.....A GREAT movie for all sizes of God's children!!:)
The VeggieTales series is a wonderful way to weave kernels of truth/guidance into childrens everday life.

Great for Kids and Adults alike. VeggieTales videos are a wonderful way to learn important values. These videos have catchy songs that have both you and kids singing.

I know this review is in the minority, but personally I totally avoid Veggie Tales for my kids. I don't mind a bunch of nonsense so much with non-biblical topics, but I find it hard to believe that Jesus would sanction this foolishness. I tend to think that right after he drove the moneychangers out of the temple, he would have turned on Veggie Tales. The product of a big company's hype and media blitz, the whole thing makes God's words into a big joke. Silly vegetables who act like fools - is this really the impression we want to give children? Veggie Tales is irreverent, even blasphemous, foolishness. Christians are instructed to raise wise, sober children with a deep fear, awe, and respect for God. Parents, do you really think more pandering to childish silliness will produce this? Let the kids watch Bugs Bunny for a good laugh - Veggie Tales belongs in the trash.

The movie was good on a variety of levels . . . as usual. Entertainment plus values. The soldier selection (or deselection) was esp. funny. Great stuff, as usual.

This veggietale movie is funny and well writen. It teaches a great leason about trusting God.Children and adult enjoy watching veggietales.

Love the Veggie Tales. The Biblical events are always correct and they use a creative way to captivate a young audience.

I purchsed this to show our children's church after doing a study on Gideon.

This is a great movie about trusting in God. There is also a drum line at the end. My kids love this movie and ask for it often!

I purchase veggie tale movies because I want my 16 month old daughter to know about God and family values. I am grateful that I can have her watch these types of videos as opposed to the content in todays carttons and television programs which are, in my opinion, inappropriate for children. There is an immense amount of learning availble for children of all ages.

One of the newest by Veggie Tales, and as usual, it is great. Even my teenagers stop & sit a bit when Veggies are on. We love the Christian values & silly songs. Every story has a positive message.

Outstanding dvd. Excellent conditon and prompt delivery. Brought the dvd for 16 month grandson. Love the music in it.
