Varsity Blues (DVD, 1999)

This movie is really enjoyable because you feel for these high school kids just trying to get through their senior year and on top of that they have an overbearing football coach that just won't take no for an answer. Just a feel good movie, a little raunchy but it is high school! Great Movie!

Varsity blues is a well made entertaining sports film. It stars James Vanderbek,Paul Walker,Jon Voight,and Ali Larter. All of the performances are excellent especially Jon Voight as the coach who only cares about winning and nothing welfare of his players. Paul Walker is the superstar quarterback who gets injured because the coach wouldn't take out Billy Bob the best offensive lineman team when he suffered a concussion. Billy bob got dizzy and then down and Paul Walker's character was done for year. James Vanderbeek then steps in and the team doesn't miss a beat. However,things don't change the coach still treats him like garbage. Ali Larter from Heroes plays the head cheerleader who was dating the star quarterback before he injured. Now,she wants the new star quarterback,then the best scene in the movie happens. Ali Larter shows him her whipped cream bikini. In the end,James vanderbeek unites the team in getting rid of the coach and winning the big game. I highly recommend this film.

i love this movie, although i only watched it one time, it had a great plot and ending. The cast was well thought out and the constant high school partying was pretty funny

it truely is what some places think and believe about high school football its a way of life honor not every one can play at that level and in there beliefs it is the way out to a better life and shows that you can have a football career and get a education if you are raised that way rising thru racial situations fighting for the things you hold sacred. i enjoy football and this movie was a good description of the real things football underage sex drinking betrayal which are all things that kids will do if they can remember they are still curious children...problems

Loved this movie. I was able to relate to the characters and the story was inspirational as well. Makes you remember the good old times of playing high school football.

I've always loved this movie and when I lost my copy, I had to get me another one ASAP!! I think it's a great rendition of determination and strength from high school kids against their coach!!

The movie was excellent the case and dvd was just like new. It was well taken care of. The shipping was fast and effiecent, and i am a completly 100% satisfied.

The movie is a great movie to watch with your friends, espcecially if you grew up in a little town like it. I bought it because its an all time classic.

But it is a great movie.

This is a great DVD. I researched it very carefully and believed it had the best coverage from amony several competing titles about Ali Larter!! Do I need to say anymore!!

I have been trying to replace some of the movies that I have on VSH. This is one of my favorite movies.

The dvd was in almost mint condition. This is nice because it still has the old cover which means the disc is several years old. All in all I could not be any happier with my purchase.

With the purchase of Varsity Blues (1999, DVD) i had no problem with the shipment of the video. Also, when i recevied the product it was play able. I wanted to purchase this item becuase i looked in many stores and across the internet and could not find it. It is a very good football movie. it has comedy and action in it, that is why i have purchased this item and i would buy from the user again.

I bought Varsity Blues because it is one of my favorite movies and it is hard to find. I was very happy with the movie when I got it. There wasn't any scratches on it the case was in good condition. It looked like a brand new movie.I would recomend if you are considering buying from them to do it.
