Vantage Point (Blu-ray Disc, 2008)

Some people may find the layout of the movie confusing, but it's not that hard to follow. All the twists and turns make this movie so interesting from start to finish. It's interesting how it's shown from different points of view

This is a great film written in such a way from many different view points of the differnt people in the movie.From start to ending just when you think you know who is the good guy and who is the bad guy your always complety wrong with all your guesses to the very end.You need to purchase this and keep it in your blu ray library and invite all your friends and family to come over to watch it too.

The movie Vantage Point was a very good movie. Great condition. There was nothing wrong with it. Glad I have it in my blu-ray collection. Thanks again

This movie is great. The way it shows what happens from everyone's "vantage point" makes it very unique

Last night my wife and I went to our local Blockbuster and grabbed Vantage Point to watch. We just picked out a movie that we didn't know much about and decided to watch it.

When we went into the movie we were surprised by the use of time. We are introduced into the movie and the main plot and suddenly we zip back in time and watch the entire twenty minutes again from another vantage point. Each time this occurs we get another bit of the story.

My wife and I were totally taken in by this form of story telling. You could have easily made this movie without the vantage point rewinds, but then the movie would be just another action movie about an assassination attempt.

Overall this is a great watch and a gem of a find on a Friday night!

I went into this movie with high expectations and was not disappointed.

From the beginning the movie grabs your interest and holds it throughout the movie. At first I thought the "rewinds" were a bit annoying, but after a while they made a lot of sense and I began to understand the message they were conveying.

The Director did a great job of keeping my interest while telling an exciting story that leads up to the final scene.

Dennis Quaid gives another powerful performance, along with all the other actors.

I highly recommend that you buy this DVD and add it to your collection.

I rate this movie a 5 of 5 for it's gripping action and for a strong performance by all involved.

I must admit I went into the theater interested, but skeptical. Slowly, I got drawn into things, and by the time the we were at the fourth vantage point, I was fascinated by how all the stories interrelated with each other, and wondering the story would end up.

The acting is uniformly excellent, especially that of Dennis Quaid, who I had previously considered a mostly comic actor, but is very convincing here as a Secret Service agent.

The direction and script are also excellent, especially when you consider both are first-timers in the world of feature films. The script was not without its clichés, but I didn't see most of the plot twists coming, which I can usually spot coming a mile away in a film like this. There was one real groaner of a plot twist that you'd have to be an idiot not to see, but it goes by so fast that it doesn't really matter.

A lot of the audience in the screening I was at got frustrated by the repeated sections, obviously having no attention span. But once the third act of the film kicks into gear, everybody stopped complaining.

Speaking of which, the third act is the payoff which we've all been waiting for. Seeing all the plot threads converge in such a convincing matter was nice, as was the final action scene, which seems like it was plucked right out of one of the Bourne films. This comes as little surprise, since director Pete Travis and Bourne series director Paul Greengrass have worked together in the past.

As skeptical as I had gone in, I came out impressed. Not since The Bourne Ultimatum have I seen such a convincing, engrossing action thriller.

I was out of the country when I ordered the blu-ray disc, but it was waiting for me in just the condition it was promised several weeks later when I returned. Couldn't be happier. Awesome in blu-ray!

Vantage Point is an amazing thriller with excellent acting. You don't know what's happening until the very end of the movie and it is intense.

The movie gets boring when it replys the same 10 minutes or so from many different "vantage points". I guess that was a good way to save money during shooting.
I guessed the bad guy in the first 5 mninutes of the movie. Good explosions and car chase.

Do not buy this move, but it would be a good rental

The way the story was put together was great. Even better on blu ray than at the theater. A must buy.

Vantage Point takes a pretty high concept, dribbles a bunch of red herrings all over it, and makes things go boom, reaping better yields than the average TV show.

A great movie. Uniquely different why of viewing the events as they unfolded. Blu-ray added that extra enjoyment with details regular DVD can't produce. A must see...

The '08 political/action thriller `Vantage Point' has a lot of positives to recommend; superior production values, superb cast, non-stop action sequences a well thought out storyline.

On the negative side of the ledger I think the relentless rewind back in time to the events just prior to the terrorist attack was relentless and overdone, ultimately distracting the focus of the audience to such an extent as to cause them to lose interest in the eventual outcome.

The other bothersome and most unbelievable part of the storyline was the role of the American tourist (Forest Witaker) and his always in the right spot with the perfect camera angle luck. How that camera always happened to be aimed in the right direction and stay in focus was a miracle in itself.

Overall good for one watch but please don't ask me to sit through it again. Be sure to have a large cup of coffee before viewing, it's the only way you'll be able to keep up with the action.

I wanted to see this movie and I thought hey why not buy it on ebay. Great price couldn't go anywhere else.

I never got this movie tryed to contact the seller never heard back this is a bad ebayer tolk my money and did not send movie I hope they chock on my money
