Van Helsing (HD DVD, 2006, Widescreen Edition)

This is a great action non thinking movie, which looks awesome in HD. This is the type of movie where you leave everyday reality behind and just enjoy the action. In my opinion, if you like werewolves this has one of the best looking werewolves ever made for a movie!! It is just a fun movie all around. Just to sit back and enjoy!! I really liked the music and the way the movie was filmed. This is what I would call a non thinking movie, just entertaining. Enjoy!!

Holy bad movie Batman! This was so bad - how bad was it? I don't know but it was REALLY bad.

It's interesting because Kate Beckinsale and Hugh Jackman are pretty good actors. The script was average, no surprises, the usual vampire-vampire hunter story. The special effect are supposedly very good. But for me the spec effects are what made this movie really bad. They relied on them so much that the script suffered. If any movie can be said to have gone overboard with special effect then this is it.

To me it has the same look and feel of The Brothers Grimm, good actors in good stories with blah scripts. If you are into special effects heavy movies then watch it in HD - that is what HD is for!

I recently purchased a lot of 6 HDDVD's to compliment my expansive DVD collection. I have purchased an HDDVD player, so I wanted some titles to watch on it. Items were exactly as described. Seller made buyers undoubtedly aware that these items were HD DVD's. No fine print, no gimmicks, and nothing to mislead the buyer. Items arrived quickly, and I should mention that the shipping price on this lot was very fair. The items were securely packed so that there was no chance of any of the items being damaged in transit. I ended up paying just over two dollars for each title. That's a deal that would be very hard to beat anywhere. I felt very secure with this transaction, and I would definately do business with this seller again. I couldn't be happier with this transaction. I would recommend seller to anyone interested in getting a super deal without worrying about being overcharged or taken advantage of. In summation, I am very pleased and it would be nice if there were more sellers out there like this one. Thank you.

The movie was great. I like that fact that they used a younger version of Van Helsing. Most of the the books and older movies use an old man that hunts for Dracula, which i think is not a great idea due to the fact that he's old. C'mon now!!!! Dracuala fighting an old man..... Dracula is a powerful being and to be defeated by an old fart is really uneasy and very unrealistic to me. I know that Dracula is not real but its just not one of the best ideas of a novelist. The visual effects of the movie were great and i like that they also threw in some humor in the movie... The only thing i did not like was that most of the movie was DARK. I would have liked to see alot of the landscaping they used in the movie but due to the movie lacking the light it needed i did not get to appreciate the scenery they used in the movie.

very good movie. there is only one thing i didn't care for in the movie and that when dracula actually morphs at the end. the graphics i think were very poor and the overall design from what we grew up with of dracuals monster figure to be. so my wife and i were disapointed with that. but the effects and design they did with the wearwolfs were amazing. overall very very good movie

It took a bit longer than we expected it to, it was ordered 6/1/08,and it just arrived today, (6/23/08). The good thing is that it is in perfect condition and the item description is very accurate. Thank you. Hope to do business with you again.

it is clearer than i expected. the sound is better than the picture which made it fun to watch. if you liked this movie before the hd format came out, get it and add it to your collection. happy viewing!
