The Vampire Diaries by L. J. Smith (2007, Paperback)

If you like vampire books with a little romance this is a great book. A little slow at the beginning but great once it kicks off.

I think that the Twilight series actually was based on this since the first book was published by LJ Smith back in 1991!! I read these when I was in 5th grade for crying out loud!!

THE BEST vampire/human love triangle, lots of otherworldly species including a werewolf..... I actually couldn't help seeing where Meyer got HER ideas LOL

I enjoyed the overall interaction between characters and the love triangle. I also enjoy the tv show and was curious how it related to the books.

I like the book a lot . I couldn't stop reading. I decided to buy because I started to watch The Vampire Diaries on TV. I read the book in one week. I'm reading the second book now.

I purchased this book for my teenage daughter - and she couldn't put it down...
She wanted to read this book before the TV version came on.

The book was in excellent condition when I received it. My daughter is enjoying reading it, she's almost finished with it, she says it's great and ready for me to get the next book in the series.

Seeing the minds of all the main characters was the best part of these series, so often you wonder what is going on in other books. The love triangle is interesting and the twists that they add I never even considered. I recommend this series for young and old.

I LIKE VAMPIRE STORIES, I SEEN THE BOOK ON EBAY AND THE PRICE WAS GREAT, THERE WASN'T NOTHING I DISLIKE ABOUT THE PRODUCT. IT WAS IN GREAT SHAPE.

My husband bought me this book because I love to read vampire books.It was completely amazing.I picked it up and started reading and before i knew it I just couldn't put it down.I love that there is more than one story in each book and that they are all somehow tied together.This book is a great read.

I absolutely LOVE the book!!!! I am so into the vampire thing, and have been.Now its even more love since Twilight and this beautiful story!!!!!! I decided to buy it cause I heard of the show there making out of it, and then I HAD TO HAVE IT!

L. J. Smith is my favorite author. much to what people say she came out with her vampire books before the twilight series many years before now. Its not a dated series though. I often find myself rereading these books and now there is finally a new book to the series. This series will also be made into a tv series on cw. :) If you liked twilight i am sure you will love this series I know i enjoy it more than twilight. :P enjoy

ps. I really wish people would do some homework on publishing dates before posting things about a book they just read.
