Valentine One V1 Radar Detector

Excellent radar detector, invisible to patrol detectors. I can't drive without it anymore. detects radar and laser gun in front or rear. gives a well in advance signal to slow down without precipitation (braking). Sensibility can be turn down for city driving.

Other than the arrows, it's ok. I've gotten a few tickets with it but i've also missed a lot with it!! One cop told me the reason my Radar didn't pick him up is because they use some new computer technology? So you may want to look into this new technology & a radar that supports it. IDK but I was pretty pissed. If I had to go back I probably would've got a cheaper radar because it seems i'd get the same results. Overall though I am satisfied with the tickets it has saved me from and those arrows are heaven :-)... OH & beware of areas with a Drug Store on each corner. Walgreens, Rite Aid & CVS make this thing go BANANAS! Also, stores with detectors at the door. You can change the mode but then you run the risk of mising a cop...

I am NOT a fan of radars but, the need for speed can be costly! I purchased the Valentine ONE and within days it has seemingly paid for itself! I hated the other radars. They had way to many noises and I was always confused as to what the heck it was or what was happening. Now, I have certainty and assurance! The second great thing is that the company will continually upgrade your radar as they advance their technology! That's an investment for the future, instead of purchasing a new radar! I ended up buying another Valentine ONE for a friend! Great friend and Excellent RADAR!

It doesn't get any better than the Valentine 1 radar detector. I've owned several "top end" detectors, and none of them compare. As the ads say, once you've lived with the directional arrows & "bogey counter" that tells you how many radar signals it's picking up, you'll never want a dumb beeping radar detector again.

Not only does the V1 chirp less than the others (it has 3 different radar modes for varying levels of filtering), it tells you exactly where the signal is coming from, and how many signals it's receiving. This makes figuring out false alarms infinitely easier, and lets you know whether there's a cop radar'ing you up ahead or from behind. There simply is no other radar detector on the market that compares. This is my second one. My first one was stolen. They're so good, thieves search them out!

So far item is as described (slightly used) I only encountered a bad fuse right off the bat and had to use the back up included....having said that I only have experiance with seeing and hearing about my best friends radar and it is the best, just read all the reviews from countless other websites.

When you use the valentine you can use it with confidence. There are no dislikes with the valentine, its either love or hate. I bought this as an addition to the one I already have. Now I dont't have to switch one between two vehicles

a very good detector , it is a joy to be able to track the police as they approach , pass on the side and fall away to the rear . it is one of the best rated and now i see why

I love that it tells you the number of threats.
I like that it has arrows and you can adjust the volume both of the initial treat and the mute.
I dislike that it doesn't work any better than other cheaper ones, the distance and warning all depend on three things:
1. The angle that your windshield is at
2. The glare from sun on the windshield (tint increases this glare)
3. The visibility of the detector (going over a hill or around a corner)
I got pulled over for speeding with my ValentineOne ON and it gave me warning ONLY as the cop was pulling out to get me!!!
They used to say they're pay your ticket, they don't now! Because it doesn't work!

Great radar detector. Best feature is the ability to upgrade. It will never be obsolete. Recommended for anyone looking for serious protection.

worth every penny. when the software is up to date, it is extremely accurate. I've had it for four days, and it's saved me equal amount of times. i'm very impressed considering I was always reluctant to spend over 300 on a radar. never believed that spending the money on a radar would differ from some of the less expensive ones. but after comparing the four days of use with the v1 to my old whistler, there's a big difference. and it's like they say, once you go arrows, there's no turning back.

I think this is a great product. Livving in a heavily populated area I had abandoned the use of a radar dector years ago due to numerious false alarms.

Valentine One is the best device I have used and have a 1.8 model in my car currentlu mounted to a visor. It is has one of the most comprehensive display systems that I have seen as of today. Both the seller and the instrucions pointed to me to the manual. This is a very comprehensive document that explains the use and understanding of the unit.

I appreciated the seller working with me he was very reasonable and accomindating in his communications and shipping. If you are in the market for a radar/ laser dection system this is the best I have seen.

Terrible does not work.... tried new fuse and cords and called valentine this is not genuins product. bad seller no communication

This unit is really amazing and has saved me already. Easily the best unit I have ever had and would recommend this unit to anyone. Very user friendly and easy to get up and running. Hard wire capability which you don't find on most models. Secret sound options and great unit holder. Read the reviews from all over the internet, without a doubt the best price reasonable product with big price capabilities.

What can you not like about the V1? Long detection range, extremely good features and not to mention the arrows.

This guy has the best deals on brand new fully updated Valentine 1 radar / laser detectors. It's an amazing deal compared to Amazon.com's list price.

Anyone that does any research on radar/laser detectors knows two things, a cheap one is worthless, and the Valentine V1 is always listed in as a top 2 detectors. Some people complain that it is over sensitive, but you can just switch it to Advanced Logic Mode (big L on the screen) and it will be quiet enough. This thing is super sensitive on the highway and can give you a solid 2 miles of warning if the officer has the gun on. Arrows help a ton in the city and it will tell you the direct of the strongest signal as well as the other signals simultaneously.

I love the display and arrows. It seems to be a great unit with excellent sensitivity. I noticed that my Verizon cell phones may trigger a constant x band alert. I sent it in for service and it is working ok for them. I will work on this when it gets back from service.

All the reviews post the Valentine One as the best hands down. I like my Passport 8500 but this one seems to have the advantage.
