I first brought home a CD from the library to see if it was any good. My grandchildren live 180 miles from me so I listened to part of the CD on the way out to see them. I couldn't wait to share these wonderful stories with them. I added the books to my collection of CDs so my granddaughters could follow along or Grandpa could read it to them. Can't say enough good things about this series. Wish it had been out there before my children grew up.

This CD set is awesome, the author also storyteller/narrator brings the children into the story not only through the storytelling itself but through their own imagination. My children love her books and her CD's they love the way she tell the stories. Can't wait to get more of these CD's.

) I bought this for my son as well as for my classroom students. Audiobooks are a great way to get children excited about reading. For my son I play these at night time before bed. Mary Pope Osborne has a wonderful gift of story telling. Her books are filled with adventure, values as well as history. In this series the author does the reading on the CD which is really a treat. I chose to buy this book on CD because the price was fantastic as well as the story and I haven't been disapointed. This is a great item.
