I love the tone of this guitar, especially for the price. I know these comparisons are kind of trite, but when I was comparison shopping I decided to A/B this with an actual Gibson ES-335, along with an Ibanez Artcore and an Epiphone Dot. I liked this one the best of all. The 335 was great, but with a street price 4 times higher, I didn't feel it was 4 times better. It had a bit deeper tone than the Ibanez and was WAY better made than the Dot. My biggest reasons for buying this were the sound and the price point. In a perfect world I'd have a PRS hollowbody, but I don't feel like selling a kidney on the black market right now. My only complaint would be that the frets aren't as well dressed and polished as they could be. I guess it's worth mentioning also that the finish (vintage sunburst in this case) is immaculate. It's also worth noting that the neck on this is a bit thicker than on the Ibanez. I thought it would be a bit of an issue, but I actually like the feel. However, if you are seriously addicted to thinner necks you should definitely play one before you buy one.
