This game is awesome. There is so much to do too.
You can get in with a specific crowd.
Theres mini games.
You can make money.
Collect items.
Furnish your house. (There are tons of items and furniture you can collect!)
Buy a new house.
Unlock things
Go to the moon.
etc etc etc
It has an interesting story line. Theres always something to do!
If you liked any sims game or if you liked Nintendogs then you will probably love this too!
It has great use of the stylus and the dual screens.
It is a light hearted great game. Worth every penny!

Urbz, for Nintendo DS is a portable version of the Sims world. For those of us that are familar with the wide variety of Sims experiences available on PC and on home gaming consoles, this little game makes a fun version to have on hand for waiting in lines, at the doctor's office or traveling. Those of you not initiated into the Sims universe or who are younger gamers will appreciate the turn it on and jump in style of this game. This incarnation of the Sims starts off with the ability to create your own persona and name it...although the choices aren't huge - customization is still satisfying. Got your character ready? GO! Right from the start there are people to talk to and a mini game to play to earn some cash. Your character needs a place to crash, since the bad guy has bought out your building and kicked everybody out! Good thing the janitor needs some help. Food is free and all the items you need are available somewhere in the four story building. (Handy, since you're busted.) Completing easy missions gets you arrested! But, not to worry, the kind Detective may put you in jail, but at least he gets you out of that old building! The cop lets you come and go as you build up your skills and bank roll until you can rent a tenement house. You'll meet lots of people. There are different rep groups and everybody seems to belong to one. You earn points toward the rep groups by making friends and completing missions. The rep group that you earn most points with, may not be the one the game decided you should belong to when you made your character.
Graphics are on par with any of the DS games. Details of the items are pretty good and the variety is adequate. This game is LOADED with fun mini games that you play over and over to make money and advance levels in that mini game. Basketball, window washing, medical matching, cards, and motorcross just to name a few.
Overall, I say buy it! It's a fun little game to have around. NO violence. Quirky story. Decent graphics. Lots of variety. Not alot of different types of touch pad use, but you don't miss it. On the light side of the Sims world. Worth picking up!

I thought I would like this game cause I LOVE the Sims!!! Wrong, this game doesnt let you do much on your own. Time goes by way to fast and your Urb always needs soemthing (ie bathroom, shower, eat etc). I would not recommend this game!!!

I definitely like this little game. It's not fantastic, and sometimes the "missions" are hard to achieve, but all in all it's not bad. It's pretty cutesy for the most part, but I have a soft spot for that. Not to mention I really dig the Sims' own French Quarter, being a Louisiana native myself.

Easy to play, Additive bought one for myself and one for my mother, that tells you it has to be an awesome game worth the money and soooo much fun actually hours of fun so addictive you cant put it down and so much like what we are use to with the first sims. So if you liked the first sims you will love this.

If you like Sims games because of their clothing, furniture and hairstyles stay away from this Sims game. There are very few pieces of furniture you can own and only one hairstyle you can have throughout the game. Not to mention the fact that there really are no clothing options other than the color of your characters shirt and pants/skirt.
Additionally, The Urbz is utterly overflowing with major glitches. In many places your game WILL freeze and you will have to retart your game. For this game you'll definitely need to read a walkthrough because there are some major problems with the game and if you get rid of certain objects you will not be able to finish the game properly.
Overall The Urbz is lacking in any major gameplay. The game can be finished in a few hours. This is a great game to buy from eBay because you will be paying significantly less than you would in retail stores.

I tend to prefer games that are simulations and slow-moving. I liked GBA/DS games like Animal Crossing, the Sims Bustin' Out, and the Hamtaro Ham-Ham Heartbreak.
In my opinion, this is the last good game that came out for the Sims series. he MySims are just silly. There are lots of "quests" that you need to complete, and it's not hard to figure out what you need to do.

Great gameGreat game. I had to replace it for my daughter because her original one got lost somehow. I found myself falling in love with this game also. It is a game for anyone to play and all to love. It teaches morals of life. If you work and earn money you can move up in life.

Good Game!!This game is the first Sims game to come out for DS in a while.
The graphics have improved deeply since the sims 2 for DS, and direct-movement is now a perfect fit.
The story is a bit boring, trying to stop a madman from stealing the city, but it has outragous humor and quests. There is so much replay value, that It could last you over a year! Moving and buying new houses, redecorating, buying furniture and souveniers from stores, and exploring new places and talking to new people,
That is only A THIRD of what this game has inside of it. New and advanced character creation goes deeper than The Sims 2 DS, and the fun level and 3D has been amped up by a megaton.
All in all, its great!

I just like this game, is really fun and has a lot of goals. Maybe it's not like The Sims for PC, but for the DS is awesome... I have been playing for a few days, non stop, I forgot about my other games!
I had some troubles figuring out how to do some stuff, the manual doesn't explain everything, but it also is the idea of the game!

I decided to buy The Urbz: Sims in the City because I played it awhile back on a friends DS, once when I saw it was selling for such a great deal I knew I had to get my hands on it. I'm really satisfied with The Urbz game, I play it non-stop and can't put it down! The game is very challenging which is awesome because easy games are no fun. I'm also a big fan of the Sims games. I'm extremely happy with my purchase. Also I found out after having the game that the group The Black Eyed Peas music is featured in the game as well as the members of the group. Super cool!

Great Game to play.I like the graphics and overall Story line. its a bit hard at first but once you start playing it is easy.
