Urban Cowboy by Original Soundtrack (CD, Mar-1995, Elektra Entertainment)

Urban Cowboy is one of my favorite movies. I was REALLY little when it came out BUT lived in Texas at the time and remember hearing the songs on the radio. It totally takes me back to my childhood when everything was so carefree and wonderful. I feel like 2 steppin' LOL

Are you old enough to have seen this movie in the theaters ? At it's time - it was cool. This is a good soundtrack of hits from the day.

I was not a fan of country music until the release of this movie & soundtrack. Some of the songs have gone on to become classics. "The Devil Went Down To Georgia" is a staple of Country Western life.

I always wanted this cd but didn't want to pay retail for it. Thankfully I found it on ebay for half the price of retail & am thrilled with it. Ebay allows me to have the things I want, at a great low price.

I just love john travolta. He"s a great actor and dancer.he"S the best.great dvd.i like john travolta in anything.

The good thing about this album is that it's a compilation - because it has the songs 'Lookin' For Love' and 'Lyin' Eyes' both on one album, I was spared having to run out and buy a separate album by Johnny Lee, plus by the Eagles, respectively. The music really captures the mood, feel and emotions of the 1980's hit movie starring John Travolta. Really has a rustic, boot-stompin', down-home, country-and-western feel that makes me feel like I'm in one of the saloons of the Old West where clogging and other fun stuff used to take place. It takes you there, as they say. Highly recommended.

I BOUGHT THIS SOUND TRACK FOR MY WIFE. SHE WATCHS THE DVD SO MUCH. BUT THEN SHE STARTED PLAYIN IT ALMOST ALL THE TIME AND WELL THAT WHOLE CD IS GOOD MUSIC.PLAIN AND SIMPLE NOTHIN ELSE TO SAY

I had to get this cd because I loved the movie so much! The songs are great and just makes me feel like I am there. I finally brought the cd because I couldnt miss out on a great deal I got it for next to nothing!

WHEN I BOUGHT THIS ITEM I THOUGHT I WAS GETTING A "NEW" CD. I DIDN'T READ THE DISCRIPTION WELL ENOUGH, WHEN IT CAME IN A USED CASE,UNSEALED I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED. ALWAYS READ BEFORE YOU BUY. BOTTOM LINE IS I AM SATISFIED THAT I RECEIVED A CD THAT IS IN GOOD CONDITION, HOWEVER CONSIDERING THAT THE CASE WAS IN THE CONDITION IT WAS IN, THE CASE LOOKED LIKE IT HAD BEEN WELL USED,I THINK THE PRICE WAS TOO HIGH, ALL IN ALL I'M SATISFIED AND IF THIS BUYER HAS OTHER CD'S I AM LOOKING FOR I WILL BUY FROM HIM AGAIN, HOWEVER I WILL BE A BETTER READER!!

This is one of the best country sound tracks around. We had the orginal album but no longer have a turntable. After seeing the movie again decide to look for the sound track on CD. Found it and am very happy!
