Untold Legends: Dark Kingdom (Playstation 3, 2006)

Don't buy this game. Seriously, this is probably the worst "RPG" I've ever played. The gameplay gets tedious/boring after about 5 minutes. There's no shops or similar elements to really look forward to while playing, which is a key factor in good RPG's. The graphics aren't spectacular. The camera sucks. The environment can get buggy. Go buy Ninja Gaiden Sigma if you want a good (amazing) hack/slash RPG.

I bought it for the price, as I am not an avid gamer. I do prefer, when I do game , the walk-around-hack-and-slash-sol​ve-puzzles type of game or the totally-unrealistic racing games. This is the first kind. You choose between 3 types of character, warrior, scout or mage. I always choose the female, who in this instance is the scout that wields two blades, jumps around all "just peachy like" and slices and dices better than a Ronco product on steroids. What's not to like? I had to resort to the internet on a couple of levels [I am not very good] but I am at the last boss now and keep getting my head handed to me. So I do what I normally do...start the whole game over as another character.
I have clocked about 10 hours total on the game [you game saves keep track of this] and aside from some frustrations getting past some levels, have enjoyed the game immensely. There are numerous power ups throughout the game and various armor power-ups that come in handy as your enemies tend to get more and more powerful as you progress. The storyline is quasi-interesting and lends to the action as it is supposed to.
I like the game, and intend to play over and over until I have won with all 3 characters, which is about the nicest thing any player can say about a game...

When I first opened the box I hoped a great game.I put it on my Bluray drive and I couldn't take myself away from the game.But if you don't like hack n slash don't touch this game.This game is for hack n slash fans.The only disadvantage is you use the same weapon from beginning to the end.The storyline is a good one.You can understand what you are doing and why you are doing.The best part is this is not an easy game.You can't dive between lots of enemies in later stages.That's a good point for a hack n slash game.Graphics are good for a hack n slash too.You can play it for a long time.Plus you can play the game on internet.The thing you must care is that when you go to internet to play multiplayer you must watch out for your single player save.I have deleted it by mistake and game save became useless.You should buy this game.Because this game is worth its money.

This was a very good purchase and a fun game to play. My whole family plays it. The game was everything that I expected.

This is an ok game but it could've been so much better! I weep for the possibilities. When you compare it to the great Champions of Norrath, it just falls flat. I liked the weapon customazation, but the levels are too linear and the camera angles are a frustrating disater! This game feels like a good start that got lost in it's development. They should try a 2nd one and this time finish it!

I'll begin by saying I'm new to Playstation. I have an Xbox and an Xbox 360 but am in no way partial to one console or another. I bought this game for two reasons. There aren't many games available for the PS3 and I like this type of RPG. I love the Playstation 3 but was really disappointed with this game. It was fun at first. One of the things that makes it boring after a while is your character NEVER changes weapons. If that weren't bad enough, your method of combat stays the same. I liked the fact that there were three characters from which to choose. I thought that would add some variance to the game. I haven't tried the Mage but the Warrior and Scout aren't that much different. The Scout just moves faster and uses blades instead of a hammer. I've never played a game where the warrior fought with a hammer! There aren't any shops so can't buy and sell items. I thought that may be a good thing. As I got into the game I yearned for a shop just to break the monotony. In the place of shops you disenchant items and receive points. The armor wasn't that great. In fact, I found that aspect of the game confusing or maybe I just lost interest. The graphics are good but not as dazzling as one might expect. There were awkward moments with the camera angles but very few games are without those. The fighting was fun and could have been better with more weapons and combat techniques. If you can pick this game up at a REALLY GOOD price you may want to buy it. For those of you familiar with Xbox this game is NOT Fable or Baldur's Gate by any stretch of the imagination!

I liked this game alright. It is a decent hack and slash! Its a simple rpg that doesn't allow you to customize characters very much or take them very far when skills and abilities are concerned. It alot of fun to play with a friend and the graphics and story line are pretty good. It would be a great game to get into if you can catch it at a good price and if you have somebody lined up to join in the killin'! Overall, I would reccomend at least giving this title a try.

Graphics a good, its fun to play.It does get a bit repetitive at times though, not any more so than most other games like it.

This game is a lot of fun to play, especially with someone else. The only problem I have with this game is the limited amount of skills and characters available in the game. There are only 3 main characters, and they each have a fairly limited selection of powers to choose from. The higher level powers are not even that impressive so obtaining them seems pointless. The graphics are good, and although the gameplay can get repetitive what else would you expect from a hack n' slash game? In the end it's worth a look, and I don't understand the negative reviews a lot of people/places have given it.

So much better with more customization of the characters, weapons, armor, and skills but otherwise a excellent game that is worthy of the PS3.

Good game overall.. still early PS3 era ; so no Formula 1.. there's glitches here and there but overall progress into HD-era is obvious. There's some tight things about it, like leveling up and 'orb' upgrades and shi t like that.
I love the music - 100% Oscar-nominee there. Love the chaos that sometimes just messes with your eyes on the screen, s'really good if you're a bit impaired. Let's see, otherwise I think they'll probably improve a lot a year from now in making games of this sort. It delivered what it promised and nothing more really.. my plasma is begging for 1080p.
I decided to buy it cause I have a PS3. And everyone in my boots should get this game and play it a bit (it's like buying uhh.. Enclave back in the early X-box days - you gotta have it u know?) So buy it.. when it gets cheaper.

This was a very entertaining game. I think anyone who likes the role playing adventure games will like it. I liked the sound effects, I had it hooked up to my 7.1 suround sound. I don't think my neibors enjoyed it as much as I did.

This was purchased by my son and he absolutly loves it. The item was in perfect condition, shipped very fast. You cannot tell the difference if it were bought in a retail store. No marks, scratchs or anything. Perfect condition. This product was bought at a great price and I would recommend the seller and the game to anyone. It is real glitchy. On the cover it says something about the next gen of gaming, dont want to see what they come out with then. No trophies.. No updates to fix the game play issues!? you get stuck on everything.

well, it was a dialbo type game that i could play with my wife on same tv, and it is pretty fun and for 10 bucks id say worth it. i wouldn't pay 50 for it tho...

with out nit picking this title like it has been reviewed. this is a great first attempt at a hackin slash. it is a solid game all a round. it is a bit lean on rpg elements but is a fun action game...think diablo light
