Don't Read This Book Hungery- Mystery, Murder, Herbs!
5 of 5 people found this review helpful.
This is a delightful collection of short stories based on Pecan Springs own China Bayles. China, an ex-lawyer, turned Thyme and Seasons Herbs shop owner participates in mysteries and supposed mayhem. A really good book - stories are just long enough to whet your appetite for more! Speaking of appetite, plenty of tantlizing "herbalicious" recipes are offered along with recipes for herbal soap, candles and potpourri as well as some more unusual herb crafts such as rose beads, lavender hearts, herbal cordials, violet syrup, herbal prints, tussie mussies and more. Find out the root of many herbal remedies, like willow tree bark for aspirin and many fascinating facts about herbs. Plenty of information on old-fashioned crafts and use of herbs.
