Unreal Tournament III (PC Games, 2007)

Great game! Sure does live up to the legacy from the Unreal anthology and such. I got this game because I loved the original Unreal Tournament and UT2003. I figured this one has to be just as awesome since the reviews were good and the previews looked amazing. Excellent choice and would recommend to whoever likes a fast paced FPS!

It looked better on my PC than on my PS3 but the game kicked butt just the same. Jump on a skate board that hovers, very cool. Teleport into hard to get to places and or cover distance fast, very coo. All the BFGuns are all there and you can even fake your death so that your victim walks past you only to find you back on your feet and blasting them, very cool.

Have others help you in your campaign, or help others get through the game, very cool. The graphics are outstanding and come alive and move and can even kill you, very cool.

The only part I miss and that is not there from the last time I played this game was the NFL like football game style. The orb would set in the middle of the map and who ever got it could not shoot or teleport so you had to run right through the bad guys. Once you got to the other side of the map, there was a huge ring and you could jump through it for 7 points or punt it through for 3 points, so something like that. If it is there, would somebody please let me know because I don't see it.

Either way, I like the fast action (Walk in Blasting) and the team play required to win (You Conquer -You defend -We destroy.) I love this game.

Awesome game! Huge maps with tons of weapons and cool vehicles. Its like being in a real intergalactic battle. There are many forms of gametypes too choose from as well. Usual deathmatch, ctf, team ctf. With vehicles and without. And then there is also warfare which I like the most myself. Huge dark walkers, massive tanks and space ships are just a few of the cool items. The controller and gameplay works out really well. Like the old style, where you aim you hit, not cs style but rather quake style which makes it action packed.
The graphics are just awesome! And it runs like a charm. I find this game to be almost as beautiful as crysis yet it runs MUCH smoother. I havent had a single problem with crashes etc. Gears of war just wouldnt play on my system but this worked like a charm.
Only thing I have to complain about is the campaign mode. But hey, its not designed to be a singeplayergame anyway so... Multiplayer or bots all the way!
So summary is great game with lots of variation and cool items. Thumbs up!

This game was the worst game that I have ever played. You remember those horrible old games for the NES? Well, this is worse than that. I had high hopes, but I got shot down by the gameplay of this dumb game. A must- Not Buy!!!!

I bought Unreal Tournament 3 a few weeks ago and I really love this game. It's fun and challenging and I would highly recommend this game for FPS lovers. Nothing to dislike about this game!

Have been a fan of UT for years, have them all and now UT3 is great, one thing though, freezes in one of the maps in a certain game (Duel), other than that am learning this one and having fun.

There's no story. Just rounds of a tournament, and you'll see the same battlegrounds over and over again. Suppose it would be good online, but haven 't tried yet.

Like:
- Lot of types of FPS, from the quick ones (shoot anything that moves), to the more tactical ones.
- Easy and fast to install, register and play online.
- Graphics area great, and don't require high-end computers, comparing with other games.
- In March/2009, Epic Games realeased a Expansion Pack, for FREE!!! Yes, just download it from the site. It add maps, types of games, and mutators.

Dislike:
- Imposibility of changing your player name (it will be the username of the account you create in the game, so if you would like another name, you have to create a new profile)
- Mine didn't come with a printed manual. It came a CD with a colored PDF version of it.

Love the product even though it was too heavy for my own system. Wish I had a stronger comp just for this!

Great game, crushed by Microsoft. Some how, the evil empire has managed to intimidate Epic Games, gee, say it's not so.

I got this game to add it to my internet lan arcade which consists of about 30 pcs. My customes had been begging me to get this game for a while. I expected it to be way more expensive, but I got it for an awesome price. Shipping was a flash! I'm not too sure it was brand new though. Nevertheless, It was in excellent condition and installed quickly and easily. The game itself is incredible. It has almost tripled my customer base with its multiplayer features; well for now at least....

Although the seller was great, this product dissapointed me.. UTIII takes a lot of resources, does not compare to the older version.... I'll be gaming on soemthing else, anyone got with good solutions to my dilema let me know!

This is a good game, if we don't compare it with other Unreal Tournament releases. It offers good fast paced combat between humans and monsters. It includes special weapons which are high-tech, and some fascinating maps. The game overall is pretty decent. You can play single player and complete missions like Domination, Capture The Flag and do missions. You can also play this game online which makes it very fun. Though, the game is very unbalanced skill wise and they added too much stuff to it.

Compared to Unreal Tournament 1999 GOTY, which by far was the best release, this game is no where close to good. It might beat it in graphics, but the game play for 1999 UT GOTY is superior to UT 3. Depends on what you are looking for in a game. If your looking for graphics and technology, this is a very good game. I find that Epic Games is loosing control of the fast paced deathmatch Unreal Tournament, and that the Quake Series has passed them now. For the price, you should still try this game out and see how it is. This game scores Average in my book. Thanks for reading my review!

The problem is that its very buggy with newer high end computers. And sometimes there is just not enough people online playing. If you can find it in the bargin bin just give it a shot out of nostalgia but I hight reccomend you pitching in for Cod4/5 or even Quake Wars:Enemy Territory. There is a huge crowd still playing with Enemy Territory.

I love the game. I made the mistake of not having the right pc video card in my pc, and my processor is just a little under par. I have a 256 mb nvidia card and the graphics don't come across very good at all with my current set up while playing this game. It's still playable, but not satisfactory card performance with this game. But, my 2.13 ghz intel dual core has kept up pretty good overall. So, I'd recommend at least a 512 mb card at the minimum, and have at least 2 gb of ram. The game says it performs best with the 2.4 ghz intel dual core, but you can get away with just less if needs be. I have already ordered a xfx 9800 GTX+ 512mb nvidia card, 2 more gb of ram, a 450 watt 26amp power supply, and I have my eye on a 3.0 ghz intel dual core from tigerdirect. GREAT DEALS there. Would highly recommend them for all PC's and parts. If you have played any of the unreal tournament games, you'll enjoy this one. You get the same familiar weapons, but you get the vehicles which make the gameplay really fun. I'd compare this game to the Halo series. UT III is a good value for the price.

Okay, game looks great. Thing is, you have to force AA if you do not have DX10. Kinda stupid IMO. Anyways, the game crash so much, it's not even funny. How long it was released and it still crashes, that's bad. Funny thing is, most new games are doing that.

8800GTX with 22" WS can run it great with 2xAA(the way I like it to feel)
with a GTX260, 4xAA is great. Again, the way I like it to feel. Of course it can do good with 8xQ or above, thing is, I like it lagfree to get best kills. I see UT2004 and it doesn't take much to run that. For this game, I just don't see why it takes that much to run this.

It's an alright game.
Fun factor is high.
Graphics are pretty good, but most UT are.
Crashfree = poor Google it, everyone has problems..
Value, well for $5-7 on ebay, it's a great deal.

Great game, one of the best FPS multi-players beside Team Fortress 2. Great online and a Campaign that's all multilayer action. I love mulitplayer and First person shooters, so this is the game for me... and probably for you if you too like those. A definite buy!

If you are a fan of the other Unreal Tournament games then you will love UT3. This game is just perfect for playing in a fast paced multiplayer enviroment. The graphics are amazing and the game is very unreal. Vehicles are still superb and playing it can just kill hours from your day. Definately get this game if you are looking for a fast paced multiplayer game. Works perfect on windows Vista.

Pros: Good graphics; Balanced gameplay; Good maps and availability of new maps; Good weapons and just plain, a heck of a lot of fun to play.

Cons: Need high system specs to run. It's a little jerky on my AMD 4000+ with a nvidia 7800GT video card.
Cutscenes are jerky on the best of systems (everyone seems to have this problem).
Also, a cutscene freezing problem has not been fixed after 2 patches and yes they knew about it. Fortunately, there is a fix for it out there by editing an .ini file.
