Story:
A brilliant research scientist develops a powerful digging device so that people can hide from exploding atomic bombs. The scientist is played by Victor Kilian who is perhaps best known for his role as Grandpa Larkin in the "Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman" television series.

'' The Core '' Is based upon this movie. So If you LOVE '' The Core '' then go see it, just like I did.
The movie is old, be aware of that, it's from 1951 and in Black & White.
If it were in color then it would truely be amazing from some shots, especially when they discover this HUGE cave deep underground that looks like a brand new world.
