Universe at War: Earth Assault (PC Games, 2007)

The RTS scene has been dead for years. Not really since Dawn of War, or Warcraft III before it, have we really seen an earnest, respectable attempt at the genre. Universe At War puts in a good effort, and while it lacks some graphical and UI polish that would put it at the top, there's a good game here. Especially at the price you can find it (I got mine for $5, free shipping), this is basically an impulse buy and a must-play for any gamer interested in scoping out where RTS is headed these days. With Starcraft II still an indefinite time away, Universe At War is a solid investment.

A great change to the c&c system. Some bugs that can crash the game. But with all that I still like the game.

The different fractions all play witha twist. The "evil" invaders strip mine the planet so all their facilities are giant walkers. These look great when they cross a chasm or river. The other forces consist of the AI empire bent on destroying the strip miners. The final is a race from earth which are basically the Atlanteans. More mystic / tech race with many gizmo's.

the game is fun and has some pretty graphics when maxed out although dx10 is a joke that kills the performance will looking the same.

The game would have been even better if people actually played the game but as of this writing the online community is more or less dead. I blame windows live for this. making ppl pay 50$ to get features that are normally included for free is outrageous(note u no longer need to pay for it as live is now free for pc).

the product was good. the game play was great, easy to install.
the game introduction was a little bit long and every time the game start
it keep on playing the same movies over and over again.
other than that everything else about the game was great.

Great price for a fairly new game. The play is a little quick and fast paced but overall the graphics and details are well worth it.

I like that i can earn achievements with Xbox Live, but that is kind of double edged, i dont like that they sort of shove the xbox live gold down PC gamers throats all that much. The game overall is decent, the three factions are very different, though i feel that the heirarchy's walkers are obcenely overpowered early on in the game and can decimate a base easily on their own which kind of unbalances the game somewat. The campaign can be a bit corny but its enjoyable. DX10 performance is wonky at best and shows absolutely no improvement in graphics over its DX9 version counterpart so there isn't much point to it.

Overall it's a good game though, not the best, but i dont feel like i wasted my money.

Great game, very futuristic. I recomend to whos like to play strategic games.
I play another games like Star wars, Starcraft, Warcraft and this is like them but more futuristic and great graphics.

Game is great. There are some confusing elements in the game but it plays and looks great on my pc. Love the new Live interface works seemlessly with my Xbox Live account which I really like. Totally cool.

My son can't even get the game to load. We installed the first patch but soon found out that they have a huge problem all over the WORLD with this game. Everyone has the same Game EXit error. We are waiting for the next patch to come out. It was promised over a week ago. Shame on you SEGA !!!! PLEASE spend your hard earned money on a game with a proven track record.
