Uniden TCX800 5.8 GHz 1-Line Cordless Phone

I love this phone! I can't tell you how many cordeless phones we have tried & gotten rid of. This phone is great because 2 of our rooms didn't have phone jacks, you plug it into a wall outlet.

What I really love best about it is the range! I have a garden that I am in all day. I used to hear the phone ring, run like H to the house. Now the phone is out there with me, over 100yrds from the house, clear as can be. Also have a clock with me while out there! I forgot to bring it back in with me today when it suddenly started to rain for over an hour. I am not telling you it s water-proof but it is working just fine!

I love the ability to put the phone where you want it. I can't find anything to dislike about it.

I really like the phone and all its options. I bought it used and had a little trouble gettting it to work because it was registered to another phone base and it took me awhile to get the instructions on how to make it work with my main base. Since I have bought four extentions and find this is the best phone set I have ever owned. I would recomend it for anyone else and would help in setting it up with a short e-mail. It really is easy to connect a handset to a mainbase.

I was looking for a cordless handset that can match our existing system of Uniden cordless phones as I had lost one of the handsets. I found this type of handsets advertised on Ebay correct to the specs that I looked for. Purchasing was quite easy and effortless.Paying through my credit card was not at all a problem. I was a bit anxious after paying for it. I was prepared to receive the item in about a week, however, to my surprise this arrived with two days from California. Packing was not great but certainly adequate. Above all, the item was exactly as described on the Ebay. It matched and worked. I needed no further help.I am very happy to use it. This made by first purchase on Ebay a very happy experience.I would now look forward to Ebay for meeting any subsequent needs.

Phone was in good condition and a good value. Did not come with a charging stand but I don't think that it was advertised as having one. Fair price.

this is an excellent phone i have 6 of them with my base unit which is a tru-8885-2 with answering machine

we had this phone system with 3 phones(base & 2 handsets), needed 4th. system
has and does work fine. no complaints at all.

My daughter lost one of her handsets, so I cross referenced it and ordered her one while she and her family were on vacation, as a surprise "welcome home" gift. It worked perfectly and was shipped promptly. Personally, there are other brands of expandable cordless sets which I prefer over Uniden, and probably will not buy a Uniden set when, or if, I need to replace mine.

Junk , refurbisher is not on your side!! 3 out of 7 phones work. now they want me to pay shipping & ins. to sent back to them. So I can get more junk.

The phone units were in perfect condition. Now I have 5 phone units in the house and only 1 of the locations is driven by a phone jack wall location. YEAH! Plus, when I couldn't figure out how to register them to my home base, I recieved a near-instantaneous response to my email plea for help which immediately resolved my troubles. Great product. Awesome customer support!

The phone I was sent was not a TCX800 but a TRU8885 base set. This is a phone that came with an original base not an stand alone phone extension that is sold separate. There is no actual way to determine if it is actually new or not. It looked brand new. If you get one of these sets you will have to get further email instructions from the seller as to how to go about getting it registered with your base. Uniden will be completely useless in this regard. In the end it worked just has it was supposed to and I hand only an minor glitch getting it to work with my base. For the price its a total bargain.

I PURCHASED A REFURBISHED PHONE AND IT DIDN'T WORK AT ALL. IT JUST KEPT SAYING SEARCHING FOR BASE, SO I ENDED UP TOSSING IT AND BUYING A NEW SET UP. WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY. I DIDN'T CONTACT THE SELLER BECAUSE I'M PARTLY LAZY AND IT SAID NO RETURNS ON HIS SITE.

This cordless handset works well with the 8885 base unit. Setup is quick and easy. Just charge the new battery overnight and set the handset on the base to register it to your phone. It's that easy. If you do have any problems, call the Uniden factory help line at 1-800-297-1023, and you can talk to a live technician who will help you. Uniden still suports this handset and the base unit. There are factory user manuels for these units at www.uniden.com and the range on this handset is easily 250 feet. I am very satisfied with this product

These are great cordless phones if you run wireless internet in your home. They're up on the 5.8Ghz band, so they don't interfere with your wireless 2.4Ghz access points, your laptop, or your wireless PDA.

The sound quality is great, and it's nice to be able to put an extension anywhere you feel like putting a charger base... the garage, the porch, the bedroom, the office, the laundry room...

The phone works fine! I have purchased 3 handsets and a base with answering machine and they are a good phone. Had an issue with deregistering, but went online and found the solution quickly and it works fine. Excellent speakerphone, love the phone! Would purchase Uniden again.

I have the base that goes with this extra handset. That is the biggest reason for the purchase. I think that Uniden has some of the best digital phones out there. They have great range, excellent reception and there easy to use. I recomend this handset to anyone looking for a quality extra handset.

The phones are the ebst that I've ever used. The only problem was that one of the new phones requires a new battery in order to work.

I bought 2 of these cordless phone stations because I wanted to replace the phones I had in the bedroom and office. Since I already had the Uniden TCX800 base/one extension stations and was very happy with the unit, I decided to add more stations instead of add complete new phones. The units arrived very quickly and works very well. I had no problems with the seller or the product and am extremely happy with the whole experience.

I wanted to add two extensions to the Uniden phone I have. This was the ticket.
Great description by seller and listed model numbers that they are compatable with. New extensions,plug and play. Couldn't be happier.

Have spent several weeks trying to register handset to base. No go. Contacted Uniden for more info after reading and following directions in manual. No reply. Beyond refund date. Total loss.
