Uniden DXI-986/2 900 MHz 1-Line Cordless Phone

I have tried many makes and frequencies for a cordless phone with at least a clear 300 foot range. This phone does it and at an affordable price tag. Using the remote stand allows me to place the base in the house and the remote in the metal sided garage 100 feet away and works beautifully. I have used Uniden phones over 15 years and find they take some hard use and still work reliably. Only servicing ever done has been to replace the batteries. I love the caller I.D. feature and only thing missing is a visual flashing light to alert you to a phone call if running something noisey like a vacum cleaner etc. I have been severly disappointed with all the new bands at higher gig Hz freq as their range is severely limited. I have had no problem with interference but do live in a rural setting surrounded by homes every 200 to 500 feet. I use Ham radio on all legal freq. and have never had interference issues running up to 800 watts.
