I purchased this phone strictly from previous positive experience with Uniden and I was not disappointed.
Four handsets from one phone jack. The base unit houses the digital answering machine and comes with a default, male-voice greeting. Each handset can be labeled and they all keep their time updated from the base unit (set it once, not four times!). Likewise, the phone book feature can be accessed/modified from any handset.
Each handset can be use a different ring tone, or none at all; additionally, you can assign specific ring tones to incoming callers (there are about 15-20 included ringtones). At 2.4 GHz, the clarity of the phone is great and I have no trouble walking out to the mailbox while talking on this phone.
My only disappointment is that the caller id is not centrally stored like the other features. This only means that when you're cleaning up the caller id, you have to delete entries at each handset. They do allow you to hold down the button and "delete all," but they centralized everything else, why not this feature?
Overall, this is a fantastic unit that I purchased for $70.00. If you can get it at this price, or less, you won't be disappointed. Bright amber backlighting, excellent talk time (well over 2 hours on a full charge), and single jack hookup make this a wonderful deal!

Love the sync between all handsets, including the phonebook. You don't need a phone line for each handset, only the base unit. The buttons are lit so that you can read and dial in the dark. That is especially nice when you are asleep and you want to read the caller-id before answering. Since you can have a handset in every room, you don't carry around the handset and lose it. You can put a banner on each handset to denote what room it comes from if it does stray. It is headset ready and has a belt clip. Would buy new if I had to do it all over again. The batteries I received charge and the info said this, they just don't hold a charge.

) Sometimes old technology is better than new. These phones are absolutely fantastic. Crystal clear, easy to set up and with the amber lighted screen, very easy to see what is happening. Uniden has always been a good phone for me, and this set is no different. I highly reccommend.

Have been using Uniden phones since my first cordless. We had this same system bought many years ago. A couple of the hand sets had finally died, after years of use , and I mean heavy use, when the kids were still at home. Decided to buy another one of the same system since first one had worked so well, for so long. That way I have a couple more spare handsets. Since I was already familiar with them nothing to read. Just put batteries in the hand sets, plugged in chargers and base, and presto, the house has 4 phones again.
Very simple to use, and lots of extra stuff if you like that.

This is one of the greatest phones I have ever come in contact with. I have just the single handset. I got this one for my mom. It has such clarity, great ringers, great back light and no matter how many times u drop it, it still works like new. I would highly recommend this phone to anyone who needs more than a couple handsets and who wants a most reliable brand u can get. THANKS UNIDEN!!! YOU ARE AWESOME!!!

i love having the 4 phones they work very good thanksthey work good and the price is right. i would like to thank you very much.
they sound good and clear and you only haft to have one phone wrie to use all 4 of the phones. the intercalm is very nice to and handy. the ringers are good and loud i don,t hear the best so that is nice to. and the,ll do just about anything you want them to do again thank you for such good phones. jeffm660

The item was deliveredd as prommissed.
It was not clear ienough in the publications the itme is refurbished (can't recall if at all).
It was a disapointment to find that Uniden's power supply do nont meet 110V and 220V input but only 110V input (had to purchase a whole set of power supplies).
Product is now up and running wonderfully!!!

It is small so I can put it into my pocket, but since it is small I have to hold it with my hand so the mic is closer to my mouth. It needs to be a bit bigger. The contact for hearring and speecking is not good.
But for the price it is ok.
Would I buy this again, no.
