I wasted a lot of time and years purchasing cordless telephone systems until I purchased this Uniden Telephone System, Model No. CXAI5198. It is the best system I've ever owned!
This corded base of this telephone offers many features such as answering machine, handset pager, intercom, hold button, memo recording, and do not disturb. The cordless part offers some of the same features such as intercom and hold. Most importantly, the cordless offers a long lasting battery which is getting extremely difficult to find these days!
While this system may be a bit pricer than other systems, it is worth every cent. Uniden, I have found, is one of the better makers of telephone systems; especially when it comes to cordless telephones.
